The draft draw was circulated at the CEOs meeting in August.

I think the hold up was magic weekend and whether that round zero game in America got up

It's apparently still going to be released next week, with TBC for the home venue for the Eels.

If reports are true they’re being charged $200k per game played there (apparently more than double what is typical) I can understand why.

Wanderers have turned down the deal as well

Doesn't ANZ stadium effectively pay clubs to play at Homebush?

Surely it's not so complicated that it needs to be released so far after the NRL draw?

You would hope so, they should be paying spectators to go there!

I don’t know though, from what I’ve read, the people managing the new Parra stadium also manage ANZ. TigPies are apparently trying to do a deal where they move their ANZ games to Parra. Story goes they don’t have to pay anything, because they’re using the ANZ money.. if that makes sense

Don’t forget to include the Benji Tigers and our home game against Cronulla, they are a given.

It’s ridiculous that we keep playing the first game of the season up in humid Queensland.

We seem to continually end up playing north of the border or at super hot Penrith or Canberra in the first afternoon game.

Who says the draw isn’t gamed to suit certain teams.

I’ll take an opening game in NZ or Melbourne if they don’t want us against Sydney star teams.

It’s happening too often to claim it’s just a coincidence. Stop protecting some teams from the heat of the first 4 rounds.

Crichton and Roosters on collision course with Rabbitohs in round one

Angus Crichton will get the chance to run out against former club South Sydney as the premiers prepare to face their bitter rivals in the opening round of the 2019 NRL season. The Gold Coast will kick-start their campaign on the holiday strip against Canberra. Like Crichton, Shannon Boyd will get to tackle his former club in the opening round.

I'd much rather play the top sides early on when there are a lot of upsets. Plus Boyd will usually be trying for that first month.

It’s hot everywhere that time of year stop complaining 😂

If we want more games in Canberra in Winter, well that means more games played in the heat elsewhere at the start of the year.

Penrith and Parramatta have to play at 4pm in Penrith. I’ll take 6pm at the GC over that.

It looks like it's starting a week later next year.

We'd better be playing at least 2 trials, our slow starts are killing me softly...

Sri Lanka are pretty well the weakest they’ve been in thirty years. May have a contest there.

So Magic round is a home game, which is a rort, and I think we only have 3 home games in the last 14 rounds? Moving that Penrith game is looking like an awful decision now.

*edit* My mistake, I went of the Raiders site which is completely wrong for where the games are played
