I don’t think Wighton is playing to bad for first go at 5/8. Sezar is involved which is great.

Just the defense is so disappointing. No communication, line speed and goal line defence is just terrible.

Give him the #1 jersey and save him for R1.
He's looking good considering it's only his third run around if you count the fan open day. I just wish he spelled his third name with a C instead of a K so I could nickname him the Music Factory. If the Wighton experiment at 5/8th goes belly up again, he'll probably fill in for Rapana.

Sezar is also looking better than he did last season.

Admittedly I was hoping for more from the first half, though my reservations about our new fullback have eased considerably at least.... so not all bad right?

Sezer playing too sideways. Needs to be more direct and engage the defense. Take a leaf out of Foran's book.

At half time, NSW Government commits $8.5 million to upgrade Bega Recreation Ground in a bid to have the Raiders play on the South Coast regularly.

Don Furner says the Raiders would like to alternate their “home” trial between Bega and Queanbeyan, and are pencilling in a return to Bega in 2021.

Not much joy there for us, and lots to worry about.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Remember, we are playing the Bulldogs. A side most likely finishing in the bottom four this year.

Was thinking the same thing- Sezer hasn't got his jumper dirty yet. I think he's overdoing the "organising half" thing. Needs to threaten the line.

I have no issues with what I have seen with Jack at 5/8 and also like Seizer stepping up.

Very happy with CNK.

Disappointing defence, especially around the ruck. Who replaced Sia at 13 Bateman? Be interesting to see the good Bateman there. I think he and Hodgo could form a good defensive team.

Seriously? Do they need to win the State election for it to happen?

Pretty uninspiring first half... only consolation I can take is that doggies have scored most of their tries down our right edge which is a guy just out of 20s and a guy who's been playing Rugby 7s for the last year or two...

When he ran the ball 20m sideways he has to have someone running of his hip straight no use throwing a long ball when the defence has already closed in you are just putting huge pressure on the receiver.

49th min Raiders attack in the red zone, with repeat sets, but it all ends in a simple error near the try line.

56th min Kris and Simonsson off, Harley Smith Shields and Tony Datini are on.

We know the Raiders haven’t worked much on the attack this off season. It shows. And the area of focus, defence... hard to see any improvement.

58th min TRY RAIDERS to Nick Cotric, he’s unmarked out wide! Long bullet pass from Wighton sets it up. Croker converts from the sideline. Bateman off, Sezer off, Tapine off. Williams is on.
