Positioned to take over from Sticky when he pulls the pin after round 10

In Ricky We Trust
Re: Andrew McFadden returns to Raiders as Assistant Coach
Worldwide search extends as far as Ricky's phone contacts!
I think this club needs a quota system of people with no connection to the club...
Anyway on the club side he is well accustomed to our culture of being Mediocre AF so he won' have to spend time learning that.
Is there any other team in the NRL that have a coaching team that have all played for the club?

Mark McLinden will then join the club to fill the vacant position...Northern Raider wrote: ↑September 17, 2018, 12:18 pm Positioned to take over from Sticky when he pulls the pin after round 10

Its not necessarily a bad thing. I wouldn't mind the Raiders being coached by Bellamy with assistants like Seibold, Walters or even Big Mal.

Which one of these blokes on OUR coaching staff is going to fix the horrendous defence ?
Seriously, if defence isn't on top of the list I'm going to jam a fork in my eyes....

Is this another situation the club punts Stuart for the promise of the Mac Attack?
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Surely he will do a better job than Whitey did?!?!? And I suspect he is a good follower/ yes man, so will fit in well behind Ricky.

Re: Andrew McFadden returns to Raiders as Assistant Coach
Geeez..... does this mean the season review is completed and the results suggested we needed another raiders old boy who has proven nothing as far as coaching chops? Will be interesting to see if Sticky is still a protected species in the media next year without Crawley here?

Re: Andrew McFadden returns to Raiders as Assistant Coach
Andrew McFadden joins Canberra Raiders coaching ranks
Ricky Stuart knew he had his man when Andrew McFadden sat down in a meeting and said "once you’re a head coach, you know exactly what a head coach needs behind you". McFadden has rejoined the Canberra Raiders' coaching staff on a two-year deal in a bid to take the Green Machine back to the NRL finals.
"Six years ago when I left, a completely different coach to where I’m at now. That experience of being a head coach, you can’t undervalue that. That certainly has made me a better coach and it’s going to make me a better support to Ricky."

Re: Andrew McFadden returns to Raiders as Assistant Coach
I get that we need an assistant coach who has seen success but of the coaches available due to being dumped from their head coaching position who do you honestly believe would be capable of swallowing their pride and ego to take an assistant position after being dumped as head coach.
All of the coaches mentioned on here are likely to be just waiting to get a chance to take a head coach position wherever they can get one.

Re: Andrew McFadden returns to Raiders as Assistant Coach
If the end of season review has been completed, it was an awfully short one. So probably, before. Plus the CT story says McFadden's appointment was decided a month ago, so if that is correct, definitely before.

If we adopt a 50% female policy at least that’ll sort the ex-player issue.Schifty wrote: I think this club needs a quota system of people with no connection to the club...
Re: Andrew McFadden returns to Raiders as Assistant Coach
And if they haven't completed it what is the point of doing it if they are already appointing the assistant? It reeks of complete un-professionalism but apparently the club is cool with that. Like I've said previously the fans seem to give a **** more about this club achieving success than the club itself.
