Probably not greener, more likely red, white and bluer pastures

Shouldnt of taken sticky this long to make changes....... and of course Austin and Paulo still in the lineup ................
I don't have a problem with Austin being named simply because we don't have anyone to replace him.

Same can't be said for Paulo and Boyd. Knight and Murchie definitely should be there instead since the season is now over.

Murchie only has himself to blame for getting dropped after his performance on the weekend. His stats were horrible! Zero runs, zero meters and zero tackles!

That's not true. Whitehead can play 5/8th and he'll do a better job of it. Sia can play centre with Murchie in the back row.

Knight and Makatoa can come in for Boyd and Paulo.

As a supporter, I want to see Ricky dump Paulo, Boyd and Austin because they are collectively a major reason we fell so far short this season. Dumping them would be an acknowledgement of that.

Nope Ricky is penalizing Cotric for his couple of errors last week at fullback. I bet Stuart doesn’t allow him to play fullback for the rest of the season.

Ricky is unbelievable, allows numerous players in the squad to put in bad performances week in week out and picks them in their position, yet one of our best performers all year gets relegated. I hate this coach!

8 middles and 2 edge forwards.

Can't have Sia on an edge, it's proven he's not quick enough laterally to cover our halves defence.

Congratulations to Emre Guler - Raider 353. I hope you get to show your skills. Give him some game time Sticky. Not like you did to Murchie last week. Did he not sit on the bench correctly and that's why he didn't get on the park and is dropped from the 17 this week?

We are $2.50 for a win.

We must be a nightmare for the TAB. If they put us out to $4.00+ (which is where we deserve to be) then punters will back us, and it would be a typical 'Raiders' thing to get a sneaky win.

Game day I’d like to see
Soliola to front row rotation, cotric centre and oldfield wing, whitehead second row, paulo dropped.

Im so sick of f***** Ricky Stuart.

Can someone legitimately attempt to explain to me why you would pick the likes of Paulo and Boyd over Murchie and Knight?

We are done for the season. Who gives a f if we come 10th or 14th. Blood the people who have a future at the club you ****.

Up until now there was some kind of consensus that one of Ricky’s biggest downfalls amongst others mind you was his pigheadedness; his unbelievable levels of stubbornness.

Im starting to think that is being too generous, and that he has actually just lost the plot.

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense does it? Plenty of reasons why he should change his mind even if our season wasn't over.
- Soliola slows laterally as the game goes on
- Our edge defense has had issues
- Hodgo is an 80min player
- Murchie is a good defender

Punish the one player who has always ripped in and given his all every week. Meanwhile the other younger players in our team get to feel the excitement of getting selected only to be benched for 80 minutes..

Great for morale!

Can Canberra Raiders lucky-charm jersey help break an NRL top-eight drought?

The Raiders face the daunting task of trying to snap a 12-month top-eight drought when they play against the ladder-leading Sydney Roosters at Canberra Stadium on Sunday.

"It's been tough for us. It's been a big learning curve for all of the boys - you've got to take those close losses [we've had] and try to change them," said Joe Tapine. "We can't get too negative on ourselves ... not making the finals is hard for us. It was a big goal and we didn't achieve it. We know we let a lot of people down, but we're going to try our hardest for the next couple of weeks.

Four wins against top 8 sides last year. None this year. Also likely to finish with the fewest competition points since Ricky took over.

Happy days.

Pleased to see Guler named but worried he'll ride the pine for 80 like poor Murchie last week.

Still pissed as hell to see Boyd and Paulo in there. Poor Murchie and Knight. They did everything asked of them and those plodders still get picked.

And mad as hell that Stuart rushing Sezer back after our season was already over, since it appears to have made things worse.

Canberra star Elliott Whitehead has conceded the constant positional switching of players has become frustrating. Whitehead says he would prefer to play in the back row but will again sacrifice his favourite position if he is required in the centres against the Sydney Roosters on Sunday.

This is worrying for Whitehead to come out and say this.

Id love to see a banner at the game calling for the young guys to be given a chance, or :

Ricky...Drop Paulo, Austin and Boyd..They dont care!

Those are crap odds. I was expecting 3.30 or better. Been cleaning up this year with the Sportsbet 10 up you win promo. Just get on the Raiders every week.

Guler is 50/50 at best to get on. SuperCoach is way more likely to rotate Paulo and Bateman through the front row and give Havili an eight minute stint at lock.

VIDEO: Canberra Raiders Elliott Whitehead eager for Sydney Roosters scalp

Raiders forward Elliott Whitehead is confident the Green Machine can cause a major upset ahead of the clash on Sunday against the Sydney Roosters at GIO Stadium. The England international was proudly modelling the Raiders Ricky Stuart Foundation jersey which will be worn during Sunday's clash.
