Northern Raider wrote: August 12, 2018, 7:28 am I think if we win all remaining games and Broncos lose their last 3 we will make the 8. Conversely if we lose all our games and Eels, Cowboys etc win then we get the spoon.

Both scenarios highly unlikely to play out.
At the start of the round, one of the Sharks, Warriors and Broncos needed to lose all their games and the Wests Tigers three, and the Raiders needed to win all their games, for the Raiders to make the eight. The Warriors are now safe, they’ve qualified for finals, after their win. The Broncos would be the team in most danger.

The Raiders could take the spoon, with the bottom three teams just two games behind, and three games to play. The Knights (level), Sea Eagles and Titans (two competition points behind), could more easily overtake the Raiders.
The fact we've only won one more game than the complete rabble that is the Sea Eagles and Titans just highlight light what a monumental disappointment this season is.

If we blow another huge lead - with the Tigers of all teams - I'll seriously consider what someone else I know is doing and not go to another game this season.
And to all the people who doubted me, hello to them as well. - Mark Webber, Raiders Ballboy and Unluckiest F1 Driver Ever

I'm attacking in the right way, instead of just...attacking in the general direction. - Max Aaron (also eerily apropos for the Green Machine)

John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

With Murchie not playing for Mounties do we expect him to come into the 17 or is he just coverage at 18th man.

Wouldn't be surprised if we get pantsed to be honest. Weve shown we can't get up when it matters, so we're no hope when it doesn't

I have seen a couple of different team lists. The one on the Raiders website has Austin at 5/8 with Sia in the centres.

Austin at $26 in the centre was too good not to take. Put a sneaky $30 on Cotric also.

Game day is now getting in the way of my day.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Both teams are back in the sheds now, Raiders are wearing their Women in League strip. Getting ready to take the field... the Raiders will throw little footys to the crowd.

Canberra in a huddle and being spoken to by acting captain Josh Hodgson in the sheds.

Tigers are coming out... now for the Viking Clap!

Maddie Studdon of the Jillaroos blows the Viking Horn. Now here comes the team! They gift their little footballs to, by the looks, some young female players on field.

Raiders kick off, we are underway!

This is going to be comical... Granted no Sezer could be a good thing... Still insane, I guess Stuart has money on the Tigers, the odds were stupidly good for the them considering it's us...

Our defence if the usual let them get 10+ per hit up even when it's just a one out run... And now we are kicking early with really poor 40/20 attempts :(
