Long day ahead at Penrith I reckon.

Sia Soliola says the Canberra Raiders have let Ricky Stuart down
Dejected Canberra Raiders veteran Sia Soliola says the playing group has let Ricky Stuart down as they stare down the barrel of missing the finals for the fifth time in six years.
"It’s not just him, [we've let down] the whole community. If you look at the scope of how our season has gone, a lot of things that didn’t really go our way were the things we could have controlled," Soliola said. "He’s still the same old Ricky, the real passionate thing. We will always see that side of Ricky and that’s always a great thing for us as a playing group.

Canberra Raiders playmaker Blake Austin has plenty to play for
Warrington-bound five-eighth Blake Austin is adamant he still has plenty to play for as he looks to finish his Canberra Raiders stint on a high.
"We’ve got five matches to think about before we can worry about taking off," Austin said. "It’s hard to really look too hard into the way the season has gone until it’s finished. We’ve got five games to go and the numbers tell us that we’re a very small chance if we can win games of footy.

That’s sad to hear. He screwed up in an accidental heat of the moment way. His superiors screwed up in an extended **** show of incompetence. Yet somehow he was scapegoated the worst it seems. As angry as I was at the refereeing, the least of that frustration was directed at the touchie.greeneyed wrote:Canberra Raiders Ricky Stuart reaches out to dumped touch judge Ricky McFarlane

Although, someone mentioned above, we r still a chance. Hahaha

Who cares it's obvious the players don't care so why should I. Their poor attitude in games is easy to see and the Fans deserve better they are employed to do a job if I got all upset, sooky and angry at work I would be sacked. A bunch of spoiled overpaid brats, not all but enough of them to do damage to the teams performances.

I disagree. I don't think I have ever, ever felt as despondent about our hopes as a club, both now and in the future. And I've supported the team for a long time.
Re: 2018 Rd 21 V Panthers: Teams and Previews
03/04 we bled talent hard, maybe not top shelf but guys like the Monaghans, mclinden, Davico, wiki and heaps of others in a real squad turnover.

Re: 2018 Rd 21 V Panthers: Teams and Previews
I must admit even during the Furner era when we had some awful games I know his teams would be able to pull out a win shortly, usually if a home game was coming up.
I honestly don’t think we will win another game this year, even the Tigers who have been our whipping boys will win with Robbie and Benji providing a master class.
Everyone knows that I’ll always support Stick but the club is stale, not going anywhere, doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result.
I can’t see any up side to next year at all I really cant. But I’ll front up to Penrith on Sunday to watch this smozzle.

These puff pieces really annoy me. Yes I get the players have to do media time but geez some of the dribble..seriously.
I'd like one of our players to come out and say.."we've been very dissapointing for 2yrs now"..and " we owe our members and fans an apology"..it's way below standard..
And fixing errors !!!
It's rnd 21 this weekend Brake..errors have ruined 17 and 18. Why hasn't this been addressed ? We are below the poverty line here..We drop the ball, we can't defend an error..an error..rinse/repeat.
Arguably the worst club side in world rugby league..the ladder tells a different story but god we are ugly to watch..
We've got 15 other NRL coaches telling their players..stick with em early, it goes for 80, theyre a monster side, they'll get tired, they'll start dropping the ball..it's what they do..
Errors..pfffft.
And Brake..head down to supply and get yourself the next size up in shorts..that's harder to watch than the footy...

Re: 2018 Rd 21 V Panthers: Teams and Previews *Teams p1*
I know Knight isn't the most popular player with Ricky but he really didn't deserve to get dropped. Junior has been much worse and is out the door.
The side really doesn't help with next year at all.

This team came one game from the GF in 2016, and now in 2018 with pretty much the same squad we continually disappoint week to week.
The Furner times were bad, but let's be honest, our squad also pretty much sucked... too much reliance on good blokes and local products.
We've not got the potential to be a top side, but the execution and mental fragility of this side is killing us... 2016-2018 will be biggest waste of potential in Raiders history.

Knight says he wants to stay at the club. Gets dropped. Meanwhile Paulo has been performing like he has had one foot out the door for more than 12 months and continues to keep his position.greeneyed wrote: ↑July 31, 2018, 12:59 pm VIDEO: Canberra Raiders Sia Soliola: We have to get up and bounce back against Penrith
Sia Soliola admits that Saturday's loss was especially tough to take but despite the Raiders injury crisis, the versatile forward is adamant that the squad are still motivated to bounce back.

This is the main reason I have had a gut full of Ricky. You can't build a winning culture without accountability and that means dropping under-performing players.
