I went to Souths vs Dragons last night, cracking atmosphere.
It got me tired and worn down, trapped in this Raiders cycle where we are hardly involved in these big games. It was depressing.
I was there too...Missus is a bunnies fan so was getting behind them for the night.
Did you really rate the atsnosphere that much? I was really disappointed with the crowd actually.
Two of the biggest, most successful and famous clubs in the league in surely one of the top 3 biggest games you will see this year and it couldn’t even crack 50k.

Yes the crowd figure was very poor, I remember in 2009 going to a Bulldogs vs Parramatta Final that had about 80K, this game should of got at least 60K.
Atmosphere was good where I was, near The Dragons fans, I guess you don’t get that singing and a big band of supporters at a Raiders game like you would with the Dragons army.

Well I’m tired and worn down.
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Hope things are looking up!
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate. John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.
I am cold and I am shamed, lying naked on the floor.

You can't eat past success. Likewise, losing the way we have this year hurt at the time, but it doesn't affect what we are capable of in the future.
There are some rumours that Ricky is looking to give it away. On-field success could turn quickly with this squad.
Could that be another reason why he was so enthusiastic about McFadden signing on, I wonder?
Some people talk about the weather. Others do something about it.

Yeah it occurred to me we might be looking at Cappy transitioning to head coach

Any team from the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast Titans are a "new" club. And they entered in 2007. So while they've never won a Grand Final or made one, they haven't been waiting for as long as the Raiders to make a decider.
