Havili said he's grateful of the opportunity the Raiders had provided him to continue his NRL career and looked forward to repaying them with strong performances over the next two seasons.
"Canberra is the best place for me to be in terms of my career and I'm really excited about re-signing with the Raiders," Havili said. "Ricky Stuart and the players and staff have really welcomed me into the club and I'm really enjoying being part of this team."

He's been a shining light this season so i'm pleased to have him on board. I'm quite surprised he didn't go elsewhere as he'd have to be close to first choice hooker at some clubs whereas he's not even close here with Hodgson.
We continue to **** about with blokes that are part of some fraternity. It's infuriating.

Good news. Havili looks like he can total fill that hooker/ backrower role everyone is looking for these days.
Storm did it with Hinchcliffe for yrs before others caught on. Slade Griffen did it while he was there, and wasn't injured. They now have Brandon Smith doing it.
Warriors now have Jazz Tevaga, though he seems to have gone the full conversion, as they still carry a utility.
Panthers had Sione Katoa doing it til Wallace retired, now he is at 9, sharing with Egan.
Radley is another that seems to have done the full conversion for Chooks.
Broncos literally put a backrower at 9... TBH, that's crazy.

Great for both parties. A good off season to further improve his fitness levels and tackling, will do his game wonders.
He already has an effective offload and passing game, a bit more fitness will make him a good NRL level player.

Good stuff. Great backup and keeps all the middles honest with his ability to fill that lock role.

Siliva Havili has no clue where he'd be without the Canberra Raiders
Siliva Havili was preparing for life after football before the Canberra Raiders came calling, and he concedes he "wouldn't have a clue" what he would be doing if they didn't.
"Probably working or something, I wouldn’t have a clue. Having to play part-time footy and having to work I would say, but I wouldn’t have a clue," Havili said. "I’m grateful for the club itself, for myself and my little family. I’ve just had a little girl, and for me and my little family, Canberra was clearly the best option for me, not only outside footy, but footy-wise.

Wonderful news for both Siliva and the Club. He just does things well. No frills. In the hooker role he probably needs some more practice on his kicking game but even Cameron Smith says there are areas of his game he continually works at improving. Well done DFJ.

Great stuff. I really see him as a future Hinchcliffe style role, as said earlier, and this time we are smart enough to keep hold of him! A forward who can cover for injuries or short stints at hooker or when they are out on rep duty. I would be happy with him holding the bench "utility" role or even moving into the starting side somewhere.

Siliva Havili humbled after inking contract extension with Canberra Raiders
At the end of last year's World Cup, Siliva Havili was at a crossroads in his career. He helped propel his native Tonga to the semi-finals, where he was a tournament standout. However, none of that success looked to translate to a regular NRL start until the Canberra Raiders came calling.
"I felt comfortable within the team and the players around me, but most importantly with the club and the staff around me. I know I can better my football under Ricky (Stuart) and it's something I'm really grateful for."
