Amazing finish, BJ had to come up with redemption there.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Panthers/Tigers ultimately proved correct: Austin is a bench player

Re: 2018 Rd 17 V Bulldogs: Game Day
Honestly Austin was always best off the bench (as they are saying on Fox now too), we just have to get him to realise it. He was the best at the Tigers in that role too and his best games for us this year have been when he had a break (forced or otherwise).

Re: 2018 Rd 17 V Bulldogs: Game Day
I honestly thought we'd fold when they kicked ahead by 14. Happy they kept fighting by **** we're a poor footy side.
Mentally we are really weak and the effort plays are not what they should be for 80 minutes. We ripped in for a handful of sets today and that was enough to beat a very poor Bulldogs side.

How did this work out Ultima?Ultima wrote: ↑July 7, 2018, 8:32 pm So is our bench strategy, which again Stuart seems to work out on Tuesday and never adjust to the situation of the game, to put Austin on in the last 20, the time when he is a proven **** option? If he does that mean Stuart could finally rightfully get some **** in the media? It's like they all know him personally and let the fact he is a nice person get in the way of them rightfully giving him **** for doing INSANE things like not playing someone for an entire game where you were falling apart in the second half (Knight last week).

Seriously, we got totally owned in that game. Don't know how the Bulldogs managed to lose it. That was a better choke than anything we've put on.

Hey Austin did surprise me, he still took the wrong half off to put him on and his use of Knight was pathetic.Billy Walker wrote: ↑July 7, 2018, 9:43 pmHow did this work out Ultima?Ultima wrote: ↑July 7, 2018, 8:32 pm So is our bench strategy, which again Stuart seems to work out on Tuesday and never adjust to the situation of the game, to put Austin on in the last 20, the time when he is a proven **** option? Maybe this breaks our hoodoo of losing close games but with really stupid players like BJ and Tapine who just don't learn from their mistakes we always have albatrosses around our necks. Not forgetting the massive handicap of our beloved coach's total incompetence!
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

Is that a curse breaker!?
Re: 2018 Rd 17 V Bulldogs: Game Day
I preface this post with having drunk 4 cosmopolitan’s tonight. Since we won this means I need to do this next game as well.
My thoughts:
• Paulo looks skinny
• BJ did his usual brain farts then triumphed - I feel conflicted
• Austin coming off the bench? Genius? Or dumb luck? However he owed us from last week. Maybe he’ll play fullback next week? Hope Abbey is okay.
• I can’t believe we won.
• Too many mistakes from Whitehead tonight and he needs to shave that beard off.
• Looks like the new strategy is not playing for 70 minutes, then playing for 10? Opposite to the usual.
• I can’t believe we won and Austin was why.
• Boyd gone with calf I just means Gubb back in?
GreenGirl out.
