Canberra Raiders to feature in Pacific Tests

Tonga to name formidable team for Test against Samoa

Jason Taumalolo, Andrew Fifita and Will Hopoate are set to come under consideration to captain a Tonga side bolstered by the defection of New Zealand prop Addin Fonua-Blake in next week’s Pacific Test against Samoa. Canberra’s Ata Hingano and Wests Tigers utility Tuimoala Lolahea will again be the halves, while Raiders hooker Siliva Havilli and Penrith’s Sione Katoa are likely to share the dummy-half role.

"It is great that guys like Ata Hingano and Saliva Havili, in particular, are playing regular first grade for Canberra. They have played almost every game this year.

Hingano won't know what hit him getting to play big minutes in his preferred position.
Although they are down a winger with rappa out

So who does Papa play for on that weekend. Will it be Samoa or Queensland? If he and BJ are selected for Samoa I hope they show more discipline in the dining room than they did at the 2017 world cup.

Good stuff. I would have had Ravalawa on the wing over Montoya. Montoya was great last year but just seems to get worse every week this year.

Papalii is a certainty to be selected for Queensland again so that is where he will play.

Canberra Raiders Siliva Havili and Ata Hingano selected for Tonga

Brisbane forward Joe Ofahengaue has been chosen to represent Tonga for their Pacific Test showdown with Samoa next Saturday, which indicates Queensland have not selected him in their squad for the second State of Origin match.

Ofahengaue was considered a strong chance of being called up by the Maroons after a string of powerhouse performances for the Broncos but he has been named in a star-studded Tongan side alongside the likes of Sharks prop Andrew Fifita and Cowboys lock Jason Taumalolo.

Mate Ma'a: Andrew Fifita (Sharks), Addin Fonua-Blaker (Sea Eagles), Siliva Havili (Raiders), Ata Hingano (Raiders), Will Hopoate (Bulldogs), Konrad Hurrell (Titans), Michael Jennings (Eels), Robert Jennings (Rabbitohs), Sione Katoa (Panthers), Tuimoala Lolohea (Wests Tigers), Manu Ma'u (Eels), Joe Ofahengaue (Broncos), Junior Tatola (Rabbitohs), Jason Taumalolo (Cowboys), Siosiua Taukieaho (Roosters), Peni Terepo (Eels), Daniel Tupou (Roosters)

Oh, good on them. Happy for Lui especially, he deserves it, he's been really great for us this year.

Lui was awesome today, and all season, coming off a major injury he has been tremendous. Love his carries and one percentages.
Very unsung hero, well deserved
