Sezer is playing like he is out the door. I hope he is not staying.

With Boyd, Paulo out the door. Austin not being renewed and hopefully Sezer gone, I’m hoping we do something good with our available cash to spend now
I've mentioned this in another thread but the best way forward for us is to let Austin and Sezer both go. I will have a lot more faith in our club if this happens (provided they don't replace all of our departing players with absolute rubbish).

Our halves had three runs between them on the weekend. That's putrid.

At present, they aren't providing any direction, they aren't posing any threat to the opposition, they aren't building any pressure, it's all just entirely predictable rubbish. Not to mention our entirely deplorable kicking game.

God I'd love to see Sezer put his foot through the ball one day. We were so far below league average in kicking stats last year and nothing has changed. That's partly coaching and partly the inability of our halves to think about things in the game.
"Look sorry if that came across wrong, I was just referring to the jokes we were making about all the desperate guys who chase you. Hope to catch up some time, but if not best of luck with everything."

They've got bugger all cap and already have Cogger coming next year to play with Foran.

Lets send the GH into meltdown... Sezer re-signed for two more years.

Canberra Raiders lock up star Aidan Sezer for two more years

Aidan Sezer, 26, has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension ahead of Sunday’s crucial clash with the Wests Tigers. Having played both five-eighth and halfback in 13 matches for Canberra this season, Sezer is viewed as pivotal to the Raiders’ fortunes.

To date, Sezer has played 132 NRL matches after arriving at Canberra from the Gold Coast in 2016. A formal announcement from the Raiders that Sezer has extended his future with the club is imminent.

It's no secret that I like him as a player, I like him a lot. But he has been garbage for a while now. Hope he can improve otherwise we're in big trouble.

I was hoping the news of the Bulldogs trying to medically retire Foran ,would see Sezer a certainty to go to the Dogs.

Sezer is a fine player. Does it not occur to anyone that Sezer, Austin and Hingano were all pretty good before they had a while under our supercoach.

I'll be very surprised if he is in first grade at the end of 2020. This has early ESL exit all over it.

Austin has played his best footy by far under Stuart. Sezer has regressed massively in consistency.

Think we can definitely get away with having Sezer if we can upgrade Austin.

Now we've backed Sezer we really need to bring in a playmaker from outside the club. Williams, Hingano, Austin are just not going to provide what we need.

It's more important than signing another prop. Corey Norman is probably the best we can hope for. Ryley Jacks would be an ok consolation prize as a 5/8 but we still have the issue of no senior head steering the ship. Brock Lamb would be a dice roll (form dropped massively this year) but his kicking was very good and his defence was solid when he was in form.

Worst case scenario we sign no replacement for Austin capable of first grade.

He'll finish his career back on the Goldy. He still owns a house in Palmy and wants to head back here.

Fine with this if it means that we've decided not to extend Austin. We can only afford to hold on to one of the two if we want any hope of improvement as a team. If we don't upgrade somewhere in the halves, we're destined to see the same **** repeat itself for the next couple seasons.

Another one of these "all but done" signings?

Why don't the media just wait until all these players actually HAVE signed before announcing it as a "done deal"?

If he’s playing 5/8 and we snag A Reynolds as halfback... we’re laughing.

Yea he’s been very ordinary but with a dominant hooker(Hodgson) and a dominant half beside him (i’d Rather Norman but Reynolds would be great too) then Sezer on the right sort of money is fine

Reynolds isn't off contract till 2022. Something drastic would have to happen for him to become available.
