I love it when people tell me sezer isn’t a halfback. That’s what control looks like when your forward pack stands up and you don’t have Blake Austin demanding the ball every play to run into a tackle or kick down the fullbacks throat.

Tonight was how he was playing when at the Titans. If he can constantly play like that he would be the long term half we have been looking for.

Yep was good. It helped that his forward pack put in the effort too to get him into the right field positions

Also helped that we had a hooker on for almost 80 minutes that was very happy to let him run the show.

He played like the player we signed.

Having Austin, Williams etc in the halves kills his game as they want to own the team and kick. Kicking is Sezers niche, owning the team is where he performs best. The sooner the Destroyer of clubs lets him have it the better we are. He proved that tonight.

Tonight we saw Titans Sezer. The one we wanted. The one that owns games and owns the team. He had no numpty half cramping him. No potato at fullback. No lazy fat pie eating backrower. Just him and a bunch if blokes wanting to play football.

Now, same team next week and get rid of Luke Bateman and we have a team to get around.

So are we floating Sezer/Hingano with Sezer to take full control? I feel if we put Austin back out there he becomes stifled again

Very impressive tonight - although I found his accent in the post match interview to be rather confusing. He sounded a bit bogan, a little kiwi with overtones of Islander. He played well though!

Can't bring Austin back imo

It is interesting too whether Sezer could ever be compatible with Hodgson

Certainly makes these contract negotiations interesting, and what sticky decides to do

I'd go Hingano and Sezer though

It's very South-West Sydney, due to the ethnic representations in the area.

I think Sezer and Wighton is our best defensive combination and defence is the deciding factor for me.

He's probably the cause of all disharmony in the team. Every time he speaks every other player thinks he's taking the piss and mimicking them!

Isn't it amazing what happens when you don't make the best halfback at your club take up a role as an Adhoc hooker?

And no Sam Williams, I would even entertain leaving Crotric at fullback and adding Wighton in at 5/8

That was a sublime kicking performance.

After watching that match, I'm actually wondering if Jack wasn't the biggest handbrake to Sezer?

The game plan changed massively with Jack out, we only involved Cotric in 1 backline sweep all game, in which he threw the pass half a meter behind Smelly to stuff a try. Usually every time we get in the red zone we are running sweeps feeding Jack the ball.

Tonight we kind of removed that play, and reverted to attacking kicks in behind and high balls.

And Sezer shone.

Food for thought.

He was very good. But as has been pointed out, that's 2 games out of 40 odd. I'd love to see him do this consistently. That game management is what has been missing for the longest time.

Tremendous performance from Sezer. 1 of his best in green. Credit where it's due. That's the blueprint. We need that every week from him

Getting extremely ahead of myself and had a few drinks in celebration of a great night at the footy but holy ****! Sezer plays like that every week and he’s the NSW #6/7! Always loved Sezer and would be devastated if he left. Had lunch with the bloke once on my lunch break at work. What a legend!

To be fair he’s had great games in the past against Penrith and St George and was probably our best player in the semi final loss to Storm.

But I want to see Ricky put a game plan and a 5/8th that revolves around Sezer as the main playmaker. Some teams and players work better with one key half, not with two players trying to be dominant.

If I was him, I wouldn’t go to another club with the wrong kind of half. He needs a Blake Green or Chad Townsend style foil, not another high profile half. Hopefully Raiders can make him the chief going forward. But he certainly needs to back this performance up over the next few weeks.

This exactly. Other players calling the ball shouldn't mean your kicking game turns to absolute s**t like it has been for the last year.

Although happy on last nights performance to let him steer the team around and play for a contract - let's hope we see some more controlled kicking

If Williams is out this would be an option for sure. Would certainly help defensively in the line where we have been struggling

I agree with what you say about Austin, but to be fair on Williams, Sezer was looking good before he went off injured too. And Sammy’s kicking game was solid too.

Shame about the injury, because they were both looking pretty good.
