NRL: Canberra Raiders to unveil female mascot against New Zealand Warriors

What should the Canberra Raiders call their new female mascot? Victoria the Viking?

The Green Machine is set to reveal a partner-in-fun for Victor the Viking as the NRL club continues its push to make rugby league more female friendly.

Dont get me wrong, i think she will be good for the kids but as a female fan it doesnt make me feel more included or respected by the raiders or the nrl.

The fact the raiders wont have players like lodge, dugan ect at our club means more to me

Great move by the club!

The challenge now is dealing with any drunken people on the sideline that will openly boast how they want to have sex with the mascot..

Maybe give her a massive sword and permission to strike at will.

Victoria the fans' choice for Canberra Raiders' new female mascot

The Canberra Raiders faithful have spoken - Victoria is their preferred name for a female mascot, with Valerie and Venus also popular options. Victoria polled 35 per cent of the 1130 voters on Fairfax Media's poll.
