I don't think anyone here takes it seriously, but unfortunately it is still given plenty of credence in league circles and is considered a major honor.

It was a close game. Someone from the Cows had to get a point and JT was as deserving as any other.
It is supposed to be the 3 best players on the field. Not "Oh it was a close game so we should give a point to the losers". That kind of thinking is the EXACT kind of problem with it.

Papalii, Leuluia, Sezer ALL put in better performances than Jonathan **** Thurston.

It is the game's major award, and the official award. It needs to be made more credible, no doubt. The problem is that the "experts" often get it wrong. What is needed is a panel of people looking at each match, and their disparate views get evened out.

So like a central area with multiple people watching on a screen? I reckon we should do it, we will call it the bunker!

Have you pitched The GH taking over voting to Todd Greenberg?

It is why The GH's Fans' Choice voting always seems to "get it right".

Havili, Cotric... plenty ahead of him.

Surprised Cartwright didn't get the obligatory 1 point for the losing team.

Austin did some flash things, but he dropped some key ball, over played his hand too often and got in Sezer’s way on the last.

He made a couple of drops but he created well and was great in defence. Not my 3 but I can see why

The way Blocker was talking up Austin's grass-cutter tackles, I thought he would have given him a point. de Bellin sure didn't warrant getting a point.
Some people talk about the weather. Others do something about it.

MEMBER NO.: 4500 (before they changed the numbering system).

if only Cotric had beaten trbojevic in the leadup game to SoO then he could've nabbed a Blues jersey over him

Interesting how when Raiders win a close one there’s always an opponent in the top 3, yet when they lose a close one the opponent is filling all 3 spots

It was a one point win and we were lucky to get it. The fact we couldn't score on a 12 man Manly side yet attacked their line for eleventy seven minutes of the 10 minutes he was in the bin is atrocious.

And the last time we won a close one was decades ago, probably before Dalky M points were awarded, so stop your whinging. Turbo was great for them and the fact it was a close win shows that not just the Raiders turned up, so as it's the best players on the park, I see fit that Tom gets two. The only person I question is Wighton. He should not have gotten one point. Joseph Tapine should have.
