Well, the podcast from Ricky Stuart today said he was thinking of Wighton at No. 1 or 6 for next year. Cotric at wing or centre only.
Not asked about Rapana at fullback....
IMO... Brad Abbey is unable to fill the fullback role at NRL level. So that leaves Rapana as the option there.
I think the Cotric comment had a bit more context: Cotric is a wing or centre (right now, without a preseason at fullback if Wighton moves to 6). He hasn't ruled out Cotric playing fullback next year.
Agree that Abbey isn't a first grade level fullback.
Cotric will be requesting a leave by the end of next year. No doubt about it, Ricky will surpress him on the wing and he will be left wanting more.
My bet is on the Roosters

A raiders jersey for the following year???
The thing is deep down, we know the Roosters and other similar clubs will get the best out of him... He won’t reach his full potential under Ricky
I reckon Wighton to 5/8 is a good move. Sure he failed last time but he is not the player he was last time. We also have a much more dominant 9 this time. I've been critical of his positioning at the back for a while but cannot doubt his defense or running game...
I read that a few days ago and it doesn't alleviate anything. I commented after reading it that Ricky clearly has no idea how to fix it. Particularly as it's been the same problem for 2 seasons.

U guys need to listen to behind the limelight this wk.
Might alleviate some of your dooms daying
just give us the run down
Cotric is seen as a wing/ ctr right now.
He has been moved to wing so:
1. He can have more fun
2. His return game is too valuable
3. He is concerning energy at FB
4. It takes 18 months to get your FB legs - according to the Wighton conversion
He also spoke about Wighton potentially moving to 6

Stuart tried Wigjton at half in his first few years as coach and it was a total utter failure.
Then we had an injury at FB Stuart put him there , Wigjton is not a half or FB his best position is at Centre,

Thanks for your contribution Mrs Wighton. You talk a tough game.
I hope your son is proud of the fact he has let himself, his teammates and the fans down big time this season.
I'm a massive fan of Jack Wighton and have defended him on this forum for years, but under the circumstances I'll talk about him any way I want. The fact is he was as pissed as a newt and he assaulted a number of people in public, with apparently little memory of it. He has to sort that out quick smart before he ends up in much more trouble than he is in now.
So feel free to jam your opinion about my post up your **** Captain Punish.
Have a sook boy you’re the one talking tough and degrading people on the internet hero.
I take it you were to scared to ever get in trouble in your perfect life so you get up on your pedestal and try to make yourself feel big thinking that in some way your daily dribble will somehow change the direction of the Raiders and that you hold some type of influence or have an opinion that should be highly regarded or something.
Your word means no more than the latest Raiders fan does no matter how much your frustration ( most of it lying with your incomplete life I’d be guessing) is eating you .
Once again though can you enlighten me on what you think gives you the right to talk about people in such derogatory terms ?
I've already answered your completely irrelevant question. If you really care about it, go back and have another read of my posts and then have a lie down champ.
That's all I'm going to say on the matter because (and you may not appreciate the irony of this), calling me out on being derogatory towards Wighton by being derogatory to other people on this forum is not a conversation I'm willing to waste my time with.
The only thing that is irrelevant here is your repeated big opinion you are dreaming if you think it makes a scrap of difference but carry on with your fantasy if it makes you feel important.

While he’d be a very good centre he’d be wasted there unless being paid 300k or so. His ball play from the back is just about the best in the business.

I’d almost have jack as the worst ball playing fullback in the comp. there are some amazing fullbacks in the NRL
Sezer puts jack outside his man every time and he gets a 4 on 3 regularly and sometimes he hits the right man (he has improved) but the stats don’t tell the whole story

So we’re attributing Jacks attacking prowess to Aidan Sezer now? Fair dinks

people talking about getting rid of leilua are absolutely out of touch. we'd have won half as many games this year without him.
Yeah...i can't fathom why people would want to get rid of Bj... unbelievable tbh

If rumours of Maloney leaving Penrith become true we need to throw serious coin at him, don’t care how, just do it.

Because out of our entire backline, he is the most feasable to let go, no one is going to let rapana or cotric go....we all realise that croker is NEVER going to be released, so releasing bj, whilst most would want to keep him is the the most realistic option to free up some money to buy a genuine playmaker
