Barnett stamped his papers when he tried to get out of his deal and go to the Titans.

Why do people actually think TPJ is coming back here when it’s common knowledge that we have hardly any money left in the cap !!!

He'd be a huge signing for us. I hope there is more than a bit of smoke to this one.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Seems TPJ is hanging with Jack on Instagram.
Just to pour a little fuel on the fire.

Anyone left who still thinks letting Lachlan Lewis go was a good idea?
Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018
I don't think he's that great, going well but who says he develops like this here? we haven't developed a half since Carney and campo. Maybe the dogs 20s staff deserve the creditgreeneyed wrote:Anyone left who still thinks letting Lachlan Lewis go was a good idea?

Yep. He was barely average when our choice was him or the current Australian halfback. I know you have a very different opinion to mine. We made the correct decision at the time with the information we had available.
In hindsight we'd make the opposite decision.

Also, let's wait until he's played more than eight games before we make a judgement.

I think that was the following year. He debuted in 2011 while Orford was injured and had that Bunnies game in 2012 after Orford had passed away. But, yeah, he was awesome that day.Matt wrote: ↑August 26, 2018, 9:18 pmHe just about beat the Bunnies by himself in wk 2 of the finals that yr too.Ruben Daley wrote: ↑August 26, 2018, 9:00 pmMe too. That Bunnies game, my memory is we were never in it at all. Not really a great game to hang someone’s hat on.

I was in Port Macquaire. I had missed my flight earlier that day, and as such missed my friends wedding. I should add, half the congregation missed the flight, because it was foggy in Canberra. He was the reason we were even vaguely in it.gangrenous wrote: ↑August 27, 2018, 8:38 am That Bunnies game, my memory is we were never in it at all. Not really a great game to hang someone’s hat on.

We got professionally handled in that game. From minute one it was clear who was going to win that game and there was little if anything we could do to stop it.gangrenous wrote: ↑August 27, 2018, 8:38 am That Bunnies game, my memory is we were never in it at all. We lost 38-16, and the scoreline flattered us. We had no business being on the same park as that team
How the **** does anyone claim Sam Williams almost won us that game?

It's true no one was going to beat the Bunnies and their leg up from the Refs that year. Still it was 26-16 early in the second half and we had the momentum and Williams was entirely responsible for it. Williams was also the standout man of the match in the Sharks final which we won easily the week before.
He really did look like a star at that point.

The penalties in that game ended up a paltry 4-4.edwahu wrote: ↑August 27, 2018, 10:16 amPigman wrote: ↑August 27, 2018, 9:01 amWe got professionally handled in that game. The Rabbitohs got absolute **** belted off the park 32-8 by the Bulldogs the next week. They lost to the Storm 14-4 in the GF
We were never in the game, granted Sam Williams WAS our best on the park, but please... Souths never looked troubled. They handled us with ease. Sam Williams certainly never went CLOSE to winning us that game. Least of all single handedly.
What planet are we all on here?

I am not saying he nearly won us the game, but he was absolutely outstanding in both those finals games and he was the one player that kept us in the Souths game longer than we deserved. Whether we won or lost, it doesn't change the quality of his individual performances in that game or that final series.

We allowed them to get a 14 point lead, then Sammy kept us in it for the next 50mins, before a penalty try 'broke our backs', and hopes. I remember Sammy being electric that day, and everyone else around him playing like spuds. I was at the game and my recollection is in line with pigman. That the scores were within 10 at one point flattered us. They were completely in control, I never felt we had a chance.

Bruh... look at that scoring pattern. They got on top us early, built a 14 point lead and every time we cut it to less than 2 tries, they took it back up to 4th gear, hit back and kept us at arms length. We ended up losing the game by 22 points.
If this were a boxing match, Souths were the champion who couldnt be **** knocking our bum **** out because it was safer to go through the motions, jab us into oblivion and win an easy points decision. We were never in it.
