yeah i dont rate Klemmer as high as some, though i think he's a much better player than he was a few years ago when he was hugely over-rated... but he'd be a fine addition to the squad if we could pull it off

He is exactly the sort of prop we need. Its such an unlikely signing but it would be so good for us. Makes serious metres, bends the line and can pump out decent minutes. Add Klemmer into the pack and things look much better next year

We are still a prop short and i really dont want to break up the backrow.

With Bulldogs and Manly both in cap strife we should be targeting Klemmer and Taupau first one to sign gets the nod.

Taupau and Corey Norman need to be our targets now. I think if knight can work on his strength he can join the bench rotation for prop with Sia starting prop

Liam showed good signs, albeit against a side that clocked off.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

The guy needs an offload, BADLY. However, he can play big minutes and make even bigger meters. Which is really prop 101

I would definitely take Klem if we have the cap space available. He is now the first prop picked for rep sides. It just a pity Paul Vaughan left. If he was still here we would not be in this predicament.

I'm a fan of him, hope to see him upwards trend next season, more game time better hands

David Klemmer - the least time this club signed a current Origin or Australian rep was Peter Jackson in 1987 - What a coup that would be.

We need just about any prop we can get our hands on at the moment and I wouldn’t be one to knock back a rep player - but we already have enough problems with players such as Ropana, BJ, Tapine who let their frustrations keel over and do constant stupid **** - imagine throwing this turkey into the arena with them ?

I saw a rumour on FB - Austin to Eels, Norman to Cowboys.

This would a terrible outcome. I've been highly critical of Austin this year, but if there weren't any other options I would rather we offer Austin a 1 year contract over running with Williams.

I think you'll see Austin leave, and we will pick up Kane Elgey.

I have also heard a very vague rumour from a reliable source that we are looking at an additional English player on top of John Bateman. Don't know who it is, but there is another English player on the radar.

Wouldn't surprise me, England is great value at the moment. I am surprised more clubs don't chase players.

Klemmer would be an all or nothing play because it would probably consign us to a halves combination of Sezer and Williams or Sezer and Hingano. That, however is a risk I would be happy for the club to take.

There was the rumour we were chasing Adam Milner who is apparently a very good hooker/Lock but you’d think if we keep Havili then we wouldn’t need both

I heard a rumour that stick is planning to hold the toughest preseason ever to het ready for 2019.... theres a guy that flaps his arms better than toots who's running around the esl so looking to bring him in... also speculation that theres a bloke with a lower iQ then BJ... gunna offer him a 4 year deal according to my sauces.... thats purely speculation though... if he agrees to terms then he knows how to count to 4 so we'll pull the offer knowing that hes in fact smarter than BJ....

Can we start a rumour that McCrones coming back and see which journo picks up the "scoop"? Just for #### and giggles....

I assume when Slater retires Munster may go back to fullback, unless they plan on playing Austin and he in the halves.

I did read on some UK forums that Austin to Leeds was also likely.

If Austin had only decided to play Centre, I think that would have been a better suitability to his skills.

He would let in 1000 tries at centre. Opposition would target his side heavily.

I would be quite glad to see Austin go tbh. He's way past his best. Not only is he a selfish player, but he only plays well when the rest of the team is on fire and never stands up when the going gets tough.

Austin would be a pretty dominant 5/8 or FB in England. I still reckon FB might be his best position here.

Question is would he up his entire family and shift them to the Norf of England when one of the strong rumours remains he wants to be back in Sydney.

It probably depends on the cash. He could get a huge contract over there under their marquee system, whereas it's hard to see him cracking big money here anymore.

I'm all for trying Norman as long as the figure isn't the 900k the Eels are currently paying him. He's simply not worth that to any team. He'd be an upgrade on Austin on the field.

At first glance I though this said Austin would destroy the Eels and I thought to myself they’re already destroyed.
Then realised it was ESL
