It’s rubbish Milford will not leave Brisbane or his Family plus the Raiders could not afford to pay him $1 million. This will never happen. Also Milford is a FB.

I'd take Nick. I've been waiting a long time to see a first grader clumsier than Brett Kelly.

Nick, I mean. That other guy's a hack.
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

I was going to suggest in the toughest pre-season ever thread that the Raiders should open up a public tryout session Invincible style.

Didn't Phil Graham come from the Raiders equivalent of open tryouts?
Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018
No, they signed him from Redcliffe after he killed it up there. I don't think there has been open tryouts for a long time.Roger Kenworthy wrote: ↑December 10, 2018, 9:54 am Didn't Phil Graham come from the Raiders equivalent of open tryouts?

Slade Griffin has to return from and ACL. They also have Buhrer. Which means Levi has fallen waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down their pecking order.El_Capitano wrote: ↑December 10, 2018, 11:36 amEww, gross...RTW wrote:Getting first crack at the 9 jersey apparently.El_Capitano wrote:Where are they going to play him?Brew wrote:Kurt Mann signed with the Knight, Norman looks like to go to Dragons.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018
Talk of Corey Norman going to the Dragons for 2019.
So does Widdop get an immediate release, or does he or Norman play fullback? If so what about Dufty?
Alex Johnston doesn’t want to play wing, but waiting on Wayne and Inglis to figure out the plan. They also signed Corey Allan from Broncos who played Prime Ministers XIII at fullback without even a FG game. Good chance to get the shot at fullback. So Johnston May end up leaving
Lots more to play out before next year.
Personally I want Dufty, with Wighton at 6. I think that’s our strongest option.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018
Could it be Wighton to the Dragons as his salary wouldn't be as high as the 940k Norman is on and not likely to reduce if asked?
Makes sense IMO.

Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018
According to reports Widdop was on a Million a season in his new contract. So Saints have the funds immediately.edwahu wrote:I think Parra would make up the difference on Norman. No one is going to go near him for that price.
Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018
Widdop isn't leaving until after the 2019 season. Unless Parr pay close to half, the Dragons wouldn't be able to afford him unless they offload Dufty

Norman to Dragons. I assume that's as fullback. I hope this opens the door for us to pinch Nufty

I would rather chase Allan then Johnston. According to rumours he wasn’t a fan of Bennett at Brisbane hence the move.

That's cause they were signing Hayne.
Hayne bit someone.
Dragons come out and support Dufty
Re: Raiders player signing speculation 2018
Anyone know about Bailey Simonsson training with the Raiders. Former schoolboys rugby and NZ sevens player?
Just saw Wighton tag him training in a Instagram video. Vision of him lifting weights in Raiders gear. Some schoolboy rugby highlights in below link:

He has some skill. Though the clip highlights why Australian rugby is in its current state. Everybody has forgotten how to tackle.

Looks like he has some League background and grew up in Canberra, played with West Belconnen before playing with the Dogs SG Ball and Under 20's.
Hopefully goes better than the last Rugby 7's player we signed.

Big enough for first grade at least, basically a Rapana clone physically. I wonder if he is full time or train and trial?
