Isn’t he? I thought he was on his way back? Wasn’t there a bunch of articles around June-July about how we signed jk to come back?
Even if he’s not, we can do better than Levi. He sucks
It was a red hot happening. Then went totally dead quiet

Few ifs and buts here.
If Luke signs for Newcastle I’d definitely look at getting Levi to replace Garvey/Baptiste if you can get him cheap.
Id take a punt on Levi
I wouldn’t. Levi is low key proper ****
He’s the knights version of Travis Waddell
Has never sniffed reaching the heights people thought he would.
Baptaste and Havilli are on the books and are significantly better players than Levi
See I always rated Levi higher than most so I don’t think he’s as bad as you do. He had a horrible year this year so his stocks have plummeted big time.
Apparently Baptiste isn’t coming and the consensus is you need a 3rd hooker. If the club can get Levi at base price it’s as good as you’ll get for that squad spot imo which probably only plays reserve grade anyway.

Exactly. And remember, he does have an NZ cap or 2

Clubs like Broncos, Storm, Roosters will always want a backup Hooker on the books and backup hookers and halves always get more wage than the minimum.
I believe hookers and halves can even earn ok money in the second tier.
Not necessarily the case in my opinion.
Broncos do not have quality depth in the hooker/half department. Going into the season none of their depth players had a single NRL game experience. I would say with a fair bit of confidence that those players are on minimum wage.
Roosters halves would all be on minimum wage and We are paying the majority of Baptistes contract.
I think our theory of having a bloke like Williams who was 3rd string at the start of the year chewing up a chunk of salary cap is flawed. I would rather invest the extra money into a quality first choice.

Its my understanding that the Broncs are sniffing around for a half. Backup or otherwise, I dont know.
Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.
If we have that much we should be chasing some of those other names as a plan B.
TPJ has until Nov 1, I think
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.
Maybe. He was in and out of Broncos NRL side the first season he was there due to inconsistency. Or maybe we are yet again being used to bump up his price?

We are paying the majority of Baptiste’s contract? You have worse sources than 999 island dressing.

Broncos first choice halves are a guy another club was willing to pay $1.2M a season to retain (Milford)
and another player that a club failed to retain despite offering them the biggest offer in their club's history (Jack Bird)
so their back up half/hooker Nikorima has played 79 games NRL level and 9 for New Zealand.
also they have another backup hooker that's played half a dozen games for Samoa at hooker and is an Australian international (Josh McGuire)

Josh McGuire is not a back up hooker he is a starting Origin and International forward. He plugged a hole when needed and as a result saved the Broncos from paying over minimum wage for a second and a third string hooker.
If Bird was signed as a half why did he not play in the halves at the start of the season?
alright then if bird is the backup, at the time of his signing, just about every other team would've bought him to play in their spine if they could afford him. hilariously broncos pulled an orford move and signed a busted.

I dont give a **** what caps he's got. The guy has never been a legitimate FGer. As a 3rd stringer on absolute minimum wage... maybe, but i rather take guys with upside in those spots. Levi has no upside, he's tried, true and proven as trash.
As said, he is literally our Waddell. The only reason he's played the games he has is because the club cant quite believe that a player who was such a stand out at the lower level hasnt translated at all. They think it'll come. It won't. It hardly ever does in this situation.
