Any signings will just paper over the cracks. If that. We have bigger issues than who is our starting front row next season or who will partner Sezer in the halves. I think even if we were to sign someone like Cleary or Maloney, our position wouldn't be hugely better off. Or if it was, it would be better off for 1 season before back to mediocrity.

Our coaching staff needs be put under serious review and so to our administration.
I’d like to put forward Michael Hagan as the person to conduct the review

I think Sticky should conduct the review - after all, no one looks at the games harder than him. Anyone else who tried to do a review would just end up with it shoved in their faces.

Playing him at prop?
Off the bench in the middle and cover centre or wing even if needed. Change of environment with some of his Tongan team mates. Why not?
Yeah I think if he wants to continue playing first grade his next shift has to be towards the middle. Starting as impact off the bench.

Yeh. With Parra signing Fergusson and Paulo the odds of Austin ending up in SL are firming.

Pros
- Looking for a chance wants a couple of year contract with an asking price of around $300K and is not from Sydney so no reason to head back.
- Good kicking game
- Good talker/Organiser
-Not from Sydney so every
- can find the tryline due to a decent running game but also stays involved in the play.
-Has been in the Storm system for a number of years so learnt from the best.
- defended well in the strong system whenever given a chance.

Cons

I’m only going to write one because it is a big one.
- With Cronk moving on why hasn’t he nailed down a spot at the storm.

Overall I would be happy with signing him on a two year deal with a third in our favour. Their are no other options on the market and if it doesn’t work out you allow Williams to walk at the end of 2019 and play him as your back up in 2020.

$300k for Jacks, $5-600k (plus Dogs Chipping in) for Klemmer.

Thats a well spent $800k considering the offers we tabled for Austin/Paulo/Boyd.

Yep klemmer and jacks will do me then. Wont happen though, the 29 year old rookie half playing for the dragons will probably have a half decent game and we will sign him to big money

Looks like Gubb has all but signed to a Superleague club, perhaps immediately.

Seems we aren't taking his option up.

Surprised by this decision, he would be on minimum wage and whilst you don’t want him anywhere near your top 17 every club needs a player of Gubbs standard toiling away in reserve grade.

We have now lost 3 middles our stocks would be very low for next season and so far we have replaced the loses with a young kid unproven at NRL level in Sutton.

Everything points to us chasing Klemmer!

We have WAY WAY WAY to many fringe middle players this year. Happy to lose a couple of them. If we lose Paulo/Boyd/Gubb and replace with Klemmer/Sutton/Bateman the second, I would say that a better overall moving forward. Back that up with Sia/Lui/Little Bateman/Knight and Guler - thats not too bad for a team thats screwed the pooch with the salary cap.

I agree. Esp when we look a centre/ winger short in the depth department. We are very lucky that BJ and Croker seem to stay healthy.

Is the pommy Batemen up to the middle? And I would add Papalii as a middle going forward.

Problem is that Ricky clearly for whatever reason doesn’t trust Knight and he isn’t going to get any better watching games from the bench. Klemmer is a massive pipe dream, Luke Batemen is a plodder and hopefully I am wrong but Ricky appears reluctant to bring Guler through this year.

Ill be honest. I'm not WOWed by that. He looks a solid player, but no better than that. I wouldn't say he is better than Sammy or Sezer.

Agreed, i'm not wowed either. I would be if it was either Croft or Scott Drinkwater but not Jacks. He is just average made to look better in a good system.
