Bellamy said last night that it was a week by week prospect and if players had an injury that would benefit from the week off they would get one, I doubt they will rest their whole spine in one week though.

We have a lot of work to do before any of that even matters! If we are alive in round 26 we are a good shot at getting it done!

I'll be cheering a dual season ending head clash between Dugan and Milford.

Other than that for the first time in living memory I hope the Broncos win.

I'm cheering on the Broncos <shudder>, hoping in the dying moments several key players are involved in an all in brawl that sees them suspended for the rest of the season.

Win 3 and were in. Other scenarios- can't catch Penrith even if we beat them on Sunday. If cowboys lose 2 of 3 which is likely, should get them on for and against. Same with the steelers, even though they are plus on the for and against 2 losses should see us in front. A vague chance Manly will lose all 3. If we lose 1, still some hope of cowboys losing all 3

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Dragons for and against is going to be tough for us to reel in (especially considering they have Bulldogs last rd)

If we manage a 14 point win against Penrith we can real it on this weekend with Newcastle to follow. Could come down to the line with last round Melbourne...

If we win this weekend it makes the panthers v dragons clash next weekend very important for both of their chances of playing finals footy.

It still looks to me like if we win our games we will make it and it won't come down to for and against.

We have always had to win all our games to give us a chance but with the Dragons losing last night we have a lot of outs provided we win the rest of our games.

If we do make the finals the majority of our wins will be against teams that are curently above us on the table .. 14 of our 24 games are against teams that are currently in the eight

I wonder what our W/L record against the current top 8. If I had to guess I'd say it would be in the realm of 5/14

Definitely now.

If we win all our games from here it's impossible for dragons AND panthers to make it. Just need one more team to not make it (cowboys look likely) and we're home

Only 4 wins. Eels twice, Sharks once, depleted Roosters once.

My latest attempt at the ladder predictor: http://www.nrl.com/draw/telstrapremiers ... fault.aspx

I have us finishing in seventh if we win all games... with Cowboys and Dragons missing out... but if we lose to the Storm, they would miss out. 30 is the most likely cut off.

It's crazy how lopsided the draw ends up when you look at us compared to Parra and Penrith.

I had us scraping into the 8 on for and against after we narrowly lose to Storm in the last round. Cowboys lose all their games with my biggest upset being a loss against the Tigers next week. If we do win all our games, as Nickman suggests, It's London to a brick we make the 8.

I'll believe it when I see it in Excel format
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

I feel dirty wanting the Sharks to win but we need two teams to falter and it's looking super likely the Dragons are done and the Cowboys are out of players. While we may even make the finals with one loss out of our next three I think we need to keep winning to have any realistic hope of doing anything once we make it there. I've noted out odds have dropped again, we were 31:1, 21:1, 17:1 now so we are on par with the Panthers and Sea Eagles.

Edit - The Panthers just went up to 21:1 so I guess we traded places from Monday.
