Tapine has not been named by the judiciary, only Soliola and Rapana.
1. Wighton - Ricky will persist with him until he gets suspended*.
2. Cotric
3. Croker
4. BJ
5. Oldfield or Ottio - the way things are going, Rapana will get a week.
6. Austin
7. Sezer
8. Paulo
9. Hodgson
10. Boyd
11. Sorenson - I can only hope.
12. Whitehead
13. Bateman - Ricky will persist with him until he gets injured or suspended.
14. Baptiste
15. Taylor for about 10 minutes, then Ricky will forget he has a bench.
16. Hunt
17. does it really matter? He won't get onto the field, whoever it is.
* Actually, it might be his turn or Hodgson's.

Let's do the Baptiste at hooker and Hodgson at lock thing again. I liked it.

I won't be surprised if they make this weeks game the precursor to the Mounties game.

Same team that beat the Tigers.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

VIDEO: Canberra Raiders Kurt Baptiste: We're not giving up
Kurt Baptiste insists his Raiders teammates are not giving up on the season and are treating each game as they come week by week.
"It's a tough position that we have put ourselves in and we only have ourselves to blame but we are looking forward and taking it as it comes each game," Baptiste said.

Hahaha Baptiste is the first bloke all year saying they're treating each game as they come week by week!
The rest of the year we've heard "we want to take it easy and hit the finals in form" and "we just need one win then we can start our run" and crap like that
About time they realised you have to focus on the next game and the next game only. Pity it's too little too late

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Canberra Raiders say finals are not out of reach
They can't get there without some slip-ups from the two teams directly ahead of them but Raiders players insist that they are not daunted by the prospect of having to win their last six games of the season in order to qualify for finals footy this year.
"It's definitely become desperate. Now we're looking at six from six which as a playing group we don't see as unrealistic. We see it as extremely tough but definitely not unrealistic," Luke Bateman said. "We're definitely under-performing and we know our season should be looking better than it is right now.

And the other three were more than winnable - Broncos without Milford/Boyd, Cowboys minus Thurston, Storm missing Slater and Smith and down to 15 men for most of the second half... Seriously, just shut the **** up.

The left side back rower selection will be interesting considering he will be opposed to Angus Crichton. I originally went for Sorenson but the more I think about it Tapine, given his size and mobility, might be the best option. Crichton is a gun and keeping him quiet is imperative.

Anybody on here going to the game? I remember watching us put 50 on them in the same game last year and I left with the belief that we could win the competition and there was such a great buzz among the Canberra supporters that were there. I honestly can't believe that I'll be there watching this game knowing we won't even be in the finals this season.

Haha the reason I remember was because the night before the Roosters Semi Final I was out drinking with a Roosters player at Coogee and all three were there blind drunk so I drank with them hahaha

Re: 2017 Rd 21 V Rabbitohs: Teams and Previews
I think you could pick either Knight, Cullen or Sorenson and be justified. All had excellent games for Mounties, with the stats skewered because of how awful the Roos were.
Sorenson was huge in attack.
Cullen was very solid with no issues in defence. Seems to be his thing since he's been at Mounties. I'd be more confident in his defence than the other 2.
Knight was everything you'd want from a reserve forward looking for a 4th spot call up.
You could bring Cullen (2nd row) and Knight (forward) on to the bench. Tapine starts in the second row and moves in on the first interchange. Pretty hard to justify leaving Sorenson out though considering what a blinder he had for Mounties.
Then there's Priest and Hunt who seem to be ahead in the pecking order given past selections and have been surviving the cuts each week. Haven't really rated Priest this year except for 1 game and Hunt seems to have a few defensive issues but is a beast hitting it up.
As for Rapana's spot I'd think Oldfield is a lock in. He's got the experience and isn't running in sand.
I'm just looking forward to seeing Sticky confident enough to name Soliola in the starting side.
