Damn it, we had been having such a great run. While this may be minor in the grand scheme of things, I think to ensure our culture is not affected there should be an in squad punishment for this. I think it would send a very strong message to the team if Papa lost his leadership role, if only temporarily.

It's disappointing because he's coming off surgery but can't blame him for having a few at a mates birthday. This still pales in comparison to past off-season indiscretions though so it's not really a big deal.

Guess it depends if there was an accident and if he hurt anyone and how far over the limit he was as to how bad the punishment will be

Until we hear further details I don't think this sort of comment is what supporters and the club should tolerate.

I'm extremely dissappoined but hopeful / confident that, at the very least, his reading was just over the limit and was not the subject of another incident.

God friking dammit Papa, really? Really? All the problems over the years and somehow you still think this is a good idea? Why the hell does anyone ever think getting into the car after a few is a good idea?

To say I'm disappointed in him would be an understatement.

Well if it caused no harm to anyone I'm sure he will be fine, loss of licence for a while and a fine from the club and we are all sweet, hoping for the best scenario...

I don't know what to think. Cat's brainwashed me into believing the Raiders were the Vienna boys choir off the field. This sort of thing only happens at Parramatta.

"Hoping for the best scenario" is the best I can make from your response. Stuart and the club are attempting to raise the bar in terms of off-field behaviour which will go a long way to changing the culture that existed at this club. Incidents such as this take us a step backwards.

I think that would be a fair bet.

Pretty disappointing. Drink driving should be taken seriously by the NRL. Hoping it was a low grade offence only.

The report did say it was Saturday night so I think that would be a logical conclussion.

Not sure what point you are attempting to make mate. I think we can all conclude that Papalli wasn't stupid enough to being in the later category.

It's weird because I saw his fiance comment on one of Blake Austin's post she was sober driving - I assumed this would've included driving Papa hoping it was just low range. Think he should miss out on 9s to.

Firstly I would hate to be at training tomorrow, reckon Ricky will have a few extras planned for the whole team

But I am a tad confused, the press statement says we are waiting for the AFP to finish their investigation.
Now disclaimer here, I don't drive but have watch highway patrol and RBT so I must be an expert

But don't you get pulled over , blow over and they charge you then and there ? What's there to investigate?

The bit I'm most proud of though is he was charged last night , we let the nrl know right away and didn't try and stall the media

Would be disappointed if he gets more than a small fine from the nrl

If this had happened at parra, they would give him captain and sweep it under the carpet AND blame Ricky Image

The best approach I've heard to a matter such as this was from Willie Mason when he was arrested the morning after a few on the way to Knights training. He straight away fronted the media to apologise, said he was shocked and surprised he was over the limit but made no excuses and accepted he was in the wrong, amazingly he probably came out of it with a better public image.... however I'm not sure Papalii is charismatic enough to pull something like this off
