From about rd 1-10 Milf was phenomenal. If he maintained that form all season there'd be no contest, but he deadset went missing after that. Only blinder I remember him having in the 2nd half of the season was against a Parramatta reserve grade side.

I don't really agree with this because for mine Brisbane rely a lot more on Milford's creativity in attack than the Sharks do with Maloney who pretty much still only shovels and supports.

100% they are 1 and 2 but I think Milford has by far been the best.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Good thing Milford brought the stink for nigh on half a season then! Hahah

Milford is going to win a lot of awards over his career but there is no way he's been better than James Maloney this year. No way. You've lost your mind

Milford can do some amazing things but only when his forwards are winning the battle which I did early in the season. When they were under the pump Milford compounded it by making simple handling errors and making them work harder.

You can't just go missing for at least a third of the season and be the best.

Maloney isn't as flashy but I would argue he is as important to the Sharks. Who is their half back again?

I think stats really misrepresent a lot of things but Milford doubled Maloney in line breaks and line break assists. Had 10 more tries, 60 more tackle breaks and 40 fewer missed tackles.

We have people in this thread **** on Mitchell Moses because he can't defend yet happy to back James Maloney, the worst defender in the NRL.

End of the day I just don't like James Maloney as a player. Good signing for Cronulla; yes. Best #6 in 2016, no.

It really isn't one of those positions where there has been an absolute stand out this year which is why it is so difficult to pick a winner.

Milford has also made twice as many errors as Maloney which balances some of the attacking stats. In terms of consistency I think Maloney has been better across the year.

Corey Norman was the better 5/8, the rest had a very patchy season.

The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

If he maintained that form all season they'd be preparing what to do as a grand final celebration next week.

Ikin and Kent named Wade Graham, but the fans chose Josh Papalii. No Raiders nominee at prop.

Wade was awesome during the year and then disappeared in the second half. Papa should have got it comfortably.

Luckily NRL.com actually has a player head-to-head stats comparison tool.....Stats don't tell the whole story, but it definitely doesn't help NRL 360's decision.. Papalii by a landslide

That's excellent Aero.

Papalii finished with 52.7 per cent of the fan vote, Graham was second last in the poll with 8.8 per cent.

No, the fans proved Ikin and Kent don't know what they're doing. Which is certainly obvious now they've picked Moses and Graham.

Na, he can't be the new Jackson
Wade Graham is actually an above average footballer so whilst he is over-rated, it's not in the same realm of Jackson

**** is going on with Josh Jackson? Honestly, he's a poor man's Owen Cunningham or Dallas Johnson but with a tad more size. He's got the best poker face in the game surely!

What's going on with him is some how every media pundit believes Jackson is some kind of star footballer

It's the strangest thing I've seen in sports
If he was at our club I'd have him behind Papalii, Whitehead, Sia, Fensom, Bateman and Tapine at second row and lock

It's quite a Ponzi scheme he's running

I think he must be some kind of professional hypnotist or confidence trickster. Surely at some point he's going to click his fingers and the rugby league media will wake up and realize they're doing the chicken dance in a tutu!

The fact Jackson's name is even being mentioned as a potential Origin stalwart, let alone Captain speaks volumes about the state of the NSW team. It's outrageous.

In saying that, the NSW players voted him their player of the series, so there you go.

He's consistent, but in any given round there would be about 6-8 second rowers who have a bigger impact on their game than Josh Jackson.

Apparently he makes the least errors and is the consummate professional in his preparation.

Must be doing something right, as far as I can see he's a Fensom in a bulldogs jersey

Fensom is playing for Mounties
Josh Jackson has Australian jerseys given to him. Fensom is legitimately a better footballer IMO
