Jack is a confidence player, I reckon put him on the wing and let him build some confidence. Jordan Rapana is in amazing form and the more he has the ball in his hands the better. He has also been safe under the high ball lately.

I like Baptise. I really do, but playing 7 minutes is just a waste of a spot in the side.

If Hodgson gets injured move Blake to hooker and Whitehead to six.

5. Wighton
6. Austin
7. Sezer

My opinion on Fensom is he either starts or he doesn't play. You don't carry a player like Fensom on the bench. He can take 4th tackle hit ups at the Mounties if he doesn't start for the Raiders.
We continue to **** about with blokes that are part of some fraternity. It's infuriating.

I think that's probably right
But I'd like to at least give the guy a shot as our bench front rower

Agree. Tapine looked to trouble the defenders with each carry. Fensom is just a waste of a tackle, especially in the red zone, as it results in a very slow play the ball.

I think we'll win this, This isn't the same Warriors team that usually destroys us, firstly its not at mount smart, secondly Hurrell who usually destroys croker wont be there, thirdly Johsnon isn't in the best form and finally the Warriors are just as good at beating themselves as we are

I dare say they are currently better at beating themselves then we are.

Oddly enough the raiders and the warriors both have the firepower to finish in the top 4, but will battle to even make the 8.

I've noticed him turn his body during a hit up at least 10 times this season looking to get the ball away, he doesn't pass because nobody is there in support. Our support play up the middle of the field is by the far the worst in the comp.
This happens multiple times at the Dragqueens.... no one there to pass too.

Ricky, not noted for doing anything remotely innovative, inspiring or even logical in team selection and game day tactics will stick with the same team (hence his nickname) of mostly lackadaisical, incompetent loafers who will dish up the same drivel as they have done all year (with a couple of rare exceptions). I thought the demotion of FPN would inspire the side but it seems the 'don't care culture' at the Club is so pervasive that almost anyone who comes in contact with the team is infected.
There are so many things wrong with the side which Ricky can't or doesn't want to see but at the very least Wighton needs to be swapped with Rapana,
It's a simple game; tackle, back-up, pass, hold the ball! What did I say? "Hold the bloody ball!!"

Ricky has made some tough decisions in his time. Axing Campese, McCrone and FPN are notable, but also absolutely necesary. You could argue that he took to long to make these decisions, but at the end of the day it's his career on the line. If things don't turn around quickly, he is going to be required to make some tough calls. If he takes the easy way out, he's tying his own noose.

Nearly a full-strength team back next week, we should all move on from the Dragons game and look forward to a fresh team come next Saturday. I don't like to make excuses but playing two full games in 4 days as a fullback is difficult, especially when that player is Jack Wighton who struggles with decision making and concentration in general so I don't think dropping him is the answer. At full strength we have proven we are more than capable of winning games against any opponent, I just hope we come prepared to play.

R U fair dinkum? Campo was playing on one leg for more than a season, McCrone was in self-destruct mode for yonks and FPN only played 2 decent games since he's been here. These are not hard decisions! They are necessary decisions which prevaricating Ricky took too long to make. Look, as a coach, Ricky is a JOKE! A 'coach' who observes a game from the sideline is kidding himself. Sure, he can kick the s**t out of a plastic chair but it doesn't give him the high ground to tactically dissect what is happening on the field. Ricky could sign Cam Smith and C Cronk but he would bring them down to mediocrity the same way Sezer has fallen.

I reckon Feno was injured during the Dragons match. 45 minutes game time is low for him and I don't think he was taken off due to the 'flop'. Bateman continues to play well for mine and it may be time for him to become the center third player from lock and play 80. Start at lock and then move to prop in the prop rotation. To put some more energy into the attack it is time to give Barnett a crack I reckon. Give him some NRL time before Papa goes off to Origin. Every time he runs the ball it is with 100% effort. I'd love to see him on the field 20 minutes either side of half time.

I'd give Jack a chance to redeem himself. The intercept was bad but everyone has thrown one. The other errors, losing the ball on the Dragons goal line when he couldn't play it correctly and the knock on attempting to pick up a kick when he could had used his foot to stop the ball were momentum killers.

Jack, Edrick, JC, BJ, Rapa, Austin, Sezer, Boyd, Hodgo, Vaughan, Papa, Whitehead, Bateman, Baptiste, Barnett, Tarpine, Priest/Lima/Sia (Feno looked injured).

I am not so sure about the offloads. I counted 3 times in the first half where he had his arms free and turned back looking for a late offload. But no one can through, so he held on to it. Wighton on a burst and he looks like a star.

Hopefully the 8 days or so between games gives us time to work on combinations. I dont know if we have even had a full training week with Austin and Sezer both fit, have we? Maybe a few weeks in the pre-season when Austin came back?

I think Jack needs a spell on the wing. Might be the best way to get him out of the spotlight a little without having to announce anything or create more attention to him. Name him at fullback but just play with Raps at fullback on the day.

We lose a bit with the raps and Bj combo but im sure Jack can finish of the plays that BJ starts.

In saying all this, Ricky wont change anything unless Sia or Lima are fit. The backs will stay the same

People proposing 4 running forwards on the bench need to have a step back and actually think about what that means. Our second rowers play 80 minutes no matter what. So you're selecting 7 players to share 240 minutes of football. That is absolute madness to me. Especially when you consider that Vaughan and Boyd SHOULD play half of those.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

Spot on. All of the so called 'little things' (support play, line speed, kick chase, etc, etc) have disappeared from our game. On occasion we will have spurts of high energy play but we don't sustain it anywhere near long enough to build any momentum. It doesn't help when you are completing below 70% most weeks.

Anyway. It doesn't matter who plays this week. If we show up with the same attitude we have had in 4 of our last 5 matches, even if we are at full strength we will get belted.

The Warriors are like us. They turn up to play for maybe 10 games a year. Given their recent form they are due for a decent performance and McFadden will have the boys primed for this game.

Shaun Fensom admits impatience killing Canberra Raiders in close games

They have a reputation as a lethal attacking team but Canberra Raiders lock Shaun Fensom concedes impatience and slow starts is making them their "own worst enemy".

"You said it all there, we're our own worst enemy," Fensom said. "We've got to stay composed and build some pressure, not get flustered or frustrated and just let it happen.

"We talk about that, we know that's what we've got to do and we'll get to that stage. We spoke about not giving teams a head start, we were chasing points against Penrith (19-18 loss in round nine) and we got behind again.
