What was the first Raiders game you ever attended?

For me it was the first trial at Seiffert Oval against the Illawarra Steelers in 1982, first premiership game was the first home premiership match against Western Suburbs Magpies in Round 2 1982.

1995, against St George...if I recall correctly we won 17-4. Took about 2 seasons before I saw a losing game at Bruce. Sitting in the hill stand in the old orange seats :)

First NRL game versus Souths at Redfern. Got done about 35 to 5 but put up a reasonable show considering the strength of the squad. If I recall correctly the game was on a Friday night which preceded a weekend of attending games at Lidcombe and Kogarah between mammoth drinking sessions.

Round 26 , Orana Park 1983. Newtown vs Raiders . At the time Jets fan and it was good to see them win in their last game. 9 -6 victory to the Jets.

Looking at the details of the match. Newtown won the scrum 15-12. 27 scrums.

1st Raiders home game would be Lozzas last home game at Bruce vs the Roosters then backed it up by traveling down for Lozzas last game at Bruce vs the Panthers.

No idea either. I think it was against the Broncos at night time sometime whilst Schif was still playing for us.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

1987 last game Souths played at Redfern and we smashed them then backed up the following week to see us smash the Roosters at Henson Park.

I can't even remember if it was in 82 or 83, and who it was against. I know it was after they already beat Newtown in 82. I'm guessing at the earliest it may have been Parramatta rd 21 in 82; maybe v St George rd 25 83, but I'm pretty sure I saw a few losses before I saw a win.

Basically I have no idea. Call it senility, and I wasn't much of a fan.*

* though apparently I lined up against Les Cleal in rd 26 of 82... Lucky I can still think. Or walk.

Trial vs a newcastle team early 88 - don't think they called them the knights though, newcastle rep team used to play the nswrl runner up.
It was effectively the knights minus a few imports

Easter Sunday (I'll guess about round 5) 1990, Bruce Stadium, Raiders vs Roosters, 66-4...... Dad still has this on tape from the tv....apart from Mals 5 tries, my other great memory from that games is chicka catching a kick from the roosters, breaking away, then passing to a young Daley who ran 50ish metres with no one near him to score....... Great first live game as a kid

87 I think. I was living in Sydney and went to all those suburban grounds to watch the boys.

From 87-95 I was a regular at all (well a lot) Raiders away games.

Started going to all home games sometime around a year or two before Daley retired. First memory in life is being at old family farm in Sutton and everyone watching the 89 gf.
