OK, so now for the noughties era at the Raiders...

The era the Raiders were not so successful on the field...

Then there was the beginning of the "bad boy" era with lots of colourful characters coming through...

This was a new Raiders team, we supported everyone when they wore green, but did we love them?

the "nice" players that the fans loved were not the best players but the best with the fans if that makes sense..........

Troy, Tongue, Shif all brilliant with the fans but not the best on the field

Was a strange era in green IMO

Josh Miller was one of my favorite just because he gave his all.

Wiki was only the 1st year or 2, so I left him off......................

Had to give a few others a turn

by looking at that list, this was the time we started losing fans..........

Honestly I know he wasn't the greatest player but my god some of the hits I saw Lincoln Withers put on got me back in to rugby league when I was younger! And of course Alan Tongue I would have to give the other spot to Campo just for the 2008 season. That was a hell of a purple patch

Allan Tongue played all of the naughties and what a player he was. Excellent lock, poor hooker, but my favourite for the decade just ahead of Toots, Wiki and Scott Logan.

To be honest with you mclinden is the only player ive ever sent fan mail to. He was a bright moment in a dark time

Me too, even worse when Schifcofske walked on the club early, while captain. Took a long time to deal with that! Hurt when Wiki left too, but at least we later found out the Warriors broke the cap to sign him.

jesus christ I'm smashed it, it was lincoln withers, not mclinden. I loved mclinden for some reason but lincoln withers was pretty high up there on the man crush level. It was after a game in newy when lincoln made a break up the left side and when drawing to pass the fullback ( That roid munching lunatic) adam mcdougall elbow high shotted him and shattered lincoln's nose. then in the second half he came back on and was at least 5m ahead of the rest of the defensive line and put a HUGE hit on one of the newy forwards during a hitup. Sorry Lincoln I was a passenger and wasnt paying attn to what I wrote, it was you who I wrote to.

nah nothing at the time there was a fan mail tab on the raiders website, I assumed at best they may tell the player they may actually have fan mail. But for my entire life that is the only letter I have ever written to an athlete or star as the case may be during my life. I just wanted him to know I appreciated him going back out and putting his heart on the line after severely breaking his nose. I was really moved as a young lad about putting your body on the line
