Nice. Guessing this means fenno won't be starting off with an 80min game. That's a lot of strength he's going to be lacking in that arm.
Re: Canberra Raiders injury update 2016
Jack Wighton left the field with a head knock attempting to score a try for the Indigenous All Stars. He had no lingering effects on Sunday, but will have to pass a concussion test to take his place in Canberra's trial against Newcastle at his home town Orange on Saturday.

Raiders pre season injury update
The Raiders were inactive this weekend but they did have two of their brightest young backline stars on show in the All Stars game. Jack Wighton was forced off the field with a head knock that will need to be monitored.
Blake Austin is expected to be available for selection in round one as he nears full fitness following off-season shoulder surgery.
“The doctors who did my shoulder surgery were happy with how it all went and my rehab since then has gone really well,” Austin said.

Oh, didn't you boys know? Apparently when they shook hands after the game, Bennett asked Eddie if he was homesick, he said yes and stayed up there.

I'm expecting Sezer back in 3 weeks. The 5 week scenario is at worst I reckon. Blake may need the extra time though....

Re: Canberra Raiders injury update 2016
Athough this is not ideal lets look on the bright side:
1. Blake's shoulder will definitely be 100% upon return.
2. Sezer will play even better for us with two eyes working.
3. McCrone is'nt here anymore to come in and **** our **** up.
TBH not the best start to the season.

Well.... It's bad. But we've had worse. I'm still quietly confident of some reasonable results with our second string half's...... Call me crazy.

Considering our opening draw I'm still optimistic we can get some if not all the games without them

I'm not worried, it's not that long and we have cover
Other clubs got hit worse than us IMO, and the knights are horrible
Also trust our medical team will get them back , quick and fully fit

Re: Canberra Raiders injury update 2016
Not the best start to the season but could be worse. Injury estimates are generally a worst case scenario.
Shows how tough sezer is that he played out the game and scored 2 tries after copping the knock. Great player to have at the club and no doubt he will be back on the field early.

Well, on the upside, it will be at least 4-6 weeks before we have to worry about 2 of our key players getting injured again.

Re: Canberra Raiders injury update 2016
We would at least need Sezer back to have any chance against the dogs and that isn't impossible. I'd say Austin will be longer.
Makes the next 3 weeks massive for the club.

I reckon whichever number/side Williams plays down will be a clue as to which half they expect to be back earlier, pick.pickles wrote:We would at least need Sezer back to have any chance against the dogs and that isn't impossible. I'd say Austin will be longer.

Are there any updates on Clydsdale?
I'm thinking his fitness determines what we run out with this week.
