I thought the footage of the Reynolds sexual moment was taken from the refs head cam?? Pretty glaring miss if that was the case....Johno wrote:Tjoobie wrote:The fact that we are praising the effort of the referees after what was an acceptable performance speaks bounds for their abilities.
Let's not forget these following facts:
- 3 incorrect on-field decisions were overturned by the bunker. Probably did it to show that their mobile bunker is effective.
- perretts forgotten knock on. Not overturned.
- Reynolds bum finger.
- Klemmers face punch. No bin.
- Williams trip. No bin.
Very true Tjoobie,
if we lost, I for one would be screaming about these anomalies.
Where was the ref standing for Reynolds sexual moment?
I saw it live, and surely the 50 cameras saw it, should have been pulled up, I actually like Reynolds and how he punches above his weight, but thats not a good look for the game. Suspension for sure
Williams...obvious trip, the cameras would have see that too. Suspension, along with his other discretions on report
Klemmer, hard to see if it was a punch, the bunker have different angles, why not pulled up at next play the ball and sent off if a punch or at least on report and a sin bin?
Bulldogs should have possibly had 11 players on the field at one stage.
So in hindsight, there was some glaring errors by the refs, game changing errors in fact.
Re: Could the NRL refs be any worse?
They gave us one last night, can think of atleast two clear (seeing live and one replay) bad calls that could have been overturned. They should be doing it every 50/50 in every game, it literally takes less than 10 seconds. The Nickman wrote:Hey GE, how come the bunker never overturns onfield decisions in favour of the Raiders??

He definitely had a crack at GE about Reynolds and Sezer.
Right hot on the heels of Legend having a crack at GE on his podcast about FPN.
GE's a celebrity!! And I rode in his car before he was famous!!

Re: Could the NRL refs be any worse?
I'd guarantee the reason the refs didn't want to see Klemmer's punch was purely to avoid having to have 2 players from one team in the bin at the same time. Definitely in the too hard basket for them.Tjoobie wrote:The fact that we are praising the effort of the referees after what was an acceptable performance speaks bounds for their abilities.

This thread was started after a win, been active all year after wins, I like to think I abuse the refs weather we win or lose if they deserve it...DJ89 wrote:I think the major factor is we won. Re: Could the NRL refs be any worse?
Can't believe they penalized klemmer for the punch but didn't use the bin. Was definitely a head in the sand moment from the refs. I guess they wanted to get out of belmore alive but if BJ deserved 10 in the bin that definitely did!

Yeah, that was a clearcut 10 in the bin. They didn't even review it!pickles wrote:Can't believe they penalized klemmer for the punch but didn't use the bin. But how good was Shannon Boyd, getting a punch in the **** face and just laughing at Klemmer!! "Is that all you got, princess?"
Re: Could the NRL refs be any worse?
Boyd sure ruffled klemmers feathers!

At one point in the show Ikin sided with Ennis on something so Kent accused them of being in some kind of clique

Gangrenous, you'll always have a place on the backbench of the clique.
Despite what everybody else around these parts says or thinks about you, I think you're ok.

Re: Could the NRL refs be any worse?
This Mounties games really shows what different a ref deciding you get zero of the calls does... Decided that ever tackle was suddenly late, every ball striped is lost for us, every ball taped with a foot is a knock on and then it goes from 36-0 at the 57th minute to 36-32 in the 78th... I mean the Manly players even threw some punches and nope... It's all good, they are totally allowed, and our player gets put on report for a "late tackle" which was beyond pathetic and we get penalised....

I can't believe everyone gets so caught up on the bunker decisions where it's is ones like about which really control a match.

Re: Could the NRL refs be any worse?
There's the difference between referees for you.
We get two players held back blatantly and nothing, not even a penalty. Tigers players held back by the Storm, penalty, 10 mins in the bin, and the ref contemplating a penalty try.
Not suggesting that us getting those two penalties would necessarily have changed the outcome of the game, but the first one on Hodgson in particular was a 12 point turnaround.

Re: Could the NRL refs be any worse?
That was more on the bunker than the refs... The refs sucked but not as hard as Lee and Sezer did.
