It will be the same side. They could at least switch Macca and Corndog, meaning the same 17.

Same team, we only has some minor errors:

Passing into touch
Kicking dead
Missing tackles
Running around like a crazy nut on the 5th, calling players inside, and the. Finally passing to a forward for a hit up

Yep, so no changes. Probably we'll also resign everyone who's off contract and give them the 1.2 mil we've saved on Ennis and proctor.

If we tried a different winger to Robinson and swapped mccrone and Cornish, (I'd like to see Cronin at 14 though) then we would be much better off.
the reason our right edge defense sucks is because it's Mccrones side, he has no idea how to defend to a structure and he isolates his outside two all the time but rushing up to slap down a pass from their halves.
Cornish in my opinion has shown that he can structure the team a million times better in attack and even helps with that defensive structure. He is a proper half back.
Mccrone is a 2.5/4th

I have a similar opinion. I would remove McCrone and get Cornish into the 7. I'd also replace Robinson with any of our up coming wingers, at least until can get back his confidence in defence. Probably with that young kid from Junee that was in our nines team whose name escapes me. Blood him.

I'd also get rid of whoever the hell our defensive coach is. The same issue comes pm every away game and it isnever remedied. The compressed defence in our 20 is an absolute joke. It gets found out every away match yet nothing has been down about it.

Id start Tilse.

I'm on the fence with Milford, he hasn't been good and taking into account his defection I'm almost of a mind to send him to the mounties (for the good of our future). It's not as if we are going to make the eight so the only thing we are doing by getting him match fitness in the NRL is for the Broncos benefit.
maybe I'm being a tad spiteful with that call though.

I don't see the point in bringing in another fullback, unless tedesco was here :p we need to get a winger going and a 5/8th.

If you only want effort sign me and most other posters up.. We'll play our hearts out but probably get a similar result

Agree CJ42, poor Reece simply looks lost. He is a fine finisher, but when we are without the ball he is without a clue. I would look to Allwood as a replacement. He can tackle and has good speed. I have not seen the other lower grades (SL and Mounties) live but the reports on the likely candidates there are not good.

JMc rushing up out of the line created the hole for the Maloney try. Because he didn't attempt to make a tackle it won't count as a missed tackle. To use the old joke 'JMc is trying, VERY trying'. The errors to his game yesterday must have put the kybosh on contract negotiations, surely. The description of JMcs game by Dvstwig was accurate except he missed one kicked out on the full. That last tackle 'option' when he had time and space to kick the ball was laughable. So you want to play halfback JMc, well here is the ball on the last tackle and what are you going to do with it, I know I'll pass it to a forward who is standing still. :nooo I did not expect such an inept display, I was not expecting a match winning performance but yesterday was below low and should see him on the slow bus to Mounties. Baptiste is also playing for a contract this year and maybe he really wants one because it is clear JMc doesn't.

Milford
Sauiluma
Croker
Wighton
Robinson
Campese
Cornish
Fensom
Kennedy
Papalii
Shillo
Buttriss
Vaughan

Bench: McIlwrick, Tilse, White, Pangai Jr/Mago

McCrone has to go and I am not a fan of the 5 props in the 17. I have dropped Boyd to get more minutes under his belt (60+) at Mounties although I could also entertain dropping White. Given Kennedy and Papalii can play big minutes, I see it as the ideal time to give Pangai Jr or Mago a run, albeit for a short burst. Pangai Jr seemed to handle himself quite well yesterday for Mounties.

I have been presently surprised with Sami over the last 2 weeks as I had him in the Tupou class but whilst he is not the quickest winger you can't doubt his effort. I also thought Kennedy had his best game for the Raiders yesterday and has a chance to cement a starting spot for the remainder of the season. Another reason why I am not overly fussed about not getting Proctor.

For Me I would definately give BAPTISTE a go. And from what I am hearing about PAGE's effort in PNG in a losing side I would give him a crack as well.

I have to laugh at the amount of grief Josh McCrone cops on this forum and than I go through and read on every team list Glen Butriss gets named. I do not understand.
I hate to Badmouth a player but the guy is slow, can't beat a tackle. In fact, in tackles he gets dominated, it seems like he has no body strength.
He doesn't set up tries, I can't recall him once scoring a try from dummy half.
The only thing I'll give him is, he is an ok defender and this year he's got a couple of repeat sets from kicks.
Please try someone else at 9 this week.
McCrone, Cronin, Baptiste, McKilrick, surely someone else is worth a run.
If people are so willing to get rid of McCrone because he isn't the long term answer surely we can also get rid of butriss, because I certainly don't see a premiership winning hooker there.
Also for the people cracking a sad about Mick Ennis possibly not signing, forget about it.
The guy is on the wrong end of his career and even at his peak was overrated, a whinger and not much chop.
I would much rather us spend money going after a good young dummy half. As an example Korisou, Lichha, etc....

The score in the first 60 minutes of last nights game (without Cornish) was 24-0. The score in the last twenty (with Cornish) was 12-2. Did the roosters take their foot of the pedal?? Perhaps?? But fact of the matter is Cornish had a direct hand in both our tries and we looked like a rudderless **** for the rest of the game when he wasn't on the field.

There no better time to blood the kid for 80 minutes than a cold Monday night home game against the Broncos. It's time, Stick.

1. Milf
2. Robbo

4. Wighton
5. Sami
6. Campo (c)

8. Shillo
9. Buttriss
10. Vaughan
11. Paps
12. Kennedy
13. Fensom

14. McCrone
15. Tilse
16. Boyd
17. A second rower of some description, not a prop. If Magoo's not ready then Nicholls. I like what I've seen of him this year.

Other points of interest, I see improvement in Campo. Against the roosters he hardly catch-passed, he's starting to at least take a few steps and engage the line before passing. Positive stuff. White needs to go, Vaughan needs to start, he's an absolute monster. Last chance for McCrone, he stunk yesterday.

Well Campo's improving Rra. Campo circa three rounds ago, definitely not, but he's just starting to take a few steps every time he gets the ball.

Mate, people give Butters grief too. Even in the form of his life, which he is in, he is still in the bottom 3 hookers in the comp. However, he is getting a little bit of a reprieve atm because of that form. We all know we still need a quality 9.

Bull****. Three rounds ago all he did was catch n pass. It was almost instantaneous. The way he played yesterday compared to the is absolutely world's apart.

Sure, he still didn't actually run much, but he's at least taking a few steps and engaging the defence.
