Canberra Raiders legend Alan Tongue takes new program into ACT Schools

Canberra Raiders Legend Alan Tongue is taking the core values he learnt in his career at the Canberra Raiders, to inspire a new generation of children through his Dream, Believe, Achieve program in ACT Schools.

Tongue first introduced the program into the Bimberi Youth Justice Centre last year with great success and has now taken it into ACT Schools to help students learn about things such as goal setting, team work and believing they can achieve.

The first of these eight week programs is coming towards an end at Harrison School, with Tongue taking a group of students through the course once a week, working with them in the classroom on setting goals and then through physical activity on the field where the students work as a team to obtain objectives.

The program has the support of the Canberra Raiders, with Raiders NYC player and Club Cadet Scott Doyle assisting Tongue in delivering the program, with every student who successfully completes the program receiving their very own Canberra Raiders shirt as a reward for their efforts.
