The Canberra Raiders are proudly supporting the ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group, by hosting a Charity Golf Day and Luncheon on November 29 at the Gold Creek Country Club.
The event is proudly supported by CountryLink, ActewAGL , the Queanbeyan Leagues Club and the Gold Creek Country Club, with proceeds donated to the ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group.
There are the options of morning tee-off at 7.00am which comes with breakfast from 6.15pm, or an afternoon tee-off from 1.30pm which includes an afternoon tea after the golf.
Participants will be able to rub shoulders with some of their favourite Raiders players and determine if their rugby league skills transfer onto the fairway.
Places in the Golf Day are just $560 per team of four, which includes golf cart hire.
The day promises to be entertaining with novelty holes and competitions between each hole, with some fantastic prizes on offer.
There is also the option of attending an exclusive Sports Luncheon and Live Auction in between the morning and afternoon tee-offs, hosted by former NRL player and Sky Sports Radio favourite Jimmy Smith.
Smith will be joined on stage by an outstanding array of sporting identities such as Raiders Coach and Cancer Support Group Patron, David Furner, Australia’s greatest female basketball player Lauren Jackson and Canberra Capitals and Opals Coach Carrie Graf.
The Sportsman’s Luncheon and Auction takes place from 11:30am-1:30pm and is priced at just $75 per head. The Luncheon includes a buffet lunch, beverages and the chance to interact meet the guest speakers.
Following the conclusion of play in the afternoon, the winners of the day will be announced, with complimentary finger food provided at the presentation.
