Brendan O'Hagan commits future to York City Knights for 2022
BRENDAN O'HAGAN has committed his future to York City Knights for the 2022 season after signing a contract extension with the club. O'Hagan arrived at York from Australia ahead of last season and showed early promise before a series of injuries limited him to just six Championship appearances. I feel like that is a bit harsh on Edrick. I thought he was stringing some good games together for the Knights before he was injured. Hope he lands a better contract soon.greeneyed wrote: ↑November 3, 2021, 11:55 am The Newcastle Knights have offered Edrick Lee a $1,000-per-week train-and-trial deal after the towering winger’s search for a new club failed: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-pr ... 98c02a43d9

He’s getting a lot of positive reviews over there. The fans are seeing him as a potential future star.Billy Walker wrote:Wow - people really watch that hey? That’s out there stuff. Good on him though - hope he does well for himself.
The story above touches on his botch move recently. The quick thinking required to save that was impressive, plus if he can work on how to do that safely, it’s a pretty neat move he’s accidentally created.
Plus he had the foresight to pin his opponent to give them a chance to recover and see if he was ok, which is pretty smart.

I seem to recall him throwing a knee in a blue when he played for us. Recall no damage done but not the best look. Anyone remember that?

I just remember it was pretty exciting stuff. I reckon if he had his time again it would be interesting. What sort of suspension do you think he would get for a leap frog into sling blade?

Parramatta Eels consider giving Curtis Scott NRL lifeline
Parramatta are considering handing Curtis Scott a lifeline next season. The Eels, South Sydney and North Queensland have discussed signing Scott but it is Parramatta who has emerged a shock contender in recent days. The Tigers also considered handing the premiership winner another crack at the NRL.

Re: Ex Raiders... where are they now?
Be very interested to see how Scott goes at another club. He was a fairly handy premiership player with the Storm. A below average distraction with us. If he gets back to playing quality football I wonder if that says more about him or us.
Re: Ex Raiders... where are they now?
Like a Carney or a Dugan, Scott might string together some good games, but he’s always just a binge drinking session away from another disaster.Billy Walker wrote:Be very interested to see how Scott goes at another club. But in addition, he’s still a few rungs below a Carney or a Dugan.

‘Nobody spoke up’: Discarded star Joey Leilua sprays Madge, Tigers culture over ugly exit
Wests Tigers discard Joey Leilua has taken aim at Michael Maguire and believes he was axed by the club for standing up to the coach.
“When I played in Canberra, we all spoke up, didn’t matter if you played two games, one game, zero games if you trained with us in pre-season you had a say in the team…but we didn’t have that at the Wests Tigers. (Stuart) was like the person where if you see something, you talk about it, everyone spoke up so that’s where I thought I was at with the club, you speak up and that’s how you got the best out of each other.”

There's no way he was on that much.
More like $600k
More like $600k
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.
If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Keen to see his boxing debut. Not expecting any finesse or style but confident there will be a lot of anger and passion on display. It will be a brawl.
