To be fair, he was a forward for most of the time he was with us in the lower grades, and has turned himself into a back since leaving the club...

That is exactly what ive been worried about. Say e.g. Herbert gets injured im sure we can cover with Tongue at five eighth and Campo at halfback but if campo gets injured, 21 yr old rookis Herbert will have control of the attack and i dont think i'd like that. We are lucky to have durable halves.

i know ben sione from my time at west belconnen would be a great player 2 have at the club as he can play in the backrow and in the outside backs, he was in the 20s squad but got into trouble up in townsville at the start of the season

Considering we are losing Best, Zillman, Chalk, hopefully Kelly and quite possibly Bronx Goodwin, that leaves us withonly 5 first graders to cover the outside backs/fullback next year. I would hope the club would sign at least two more blokes who can be used as utility backs. Brent Grose would be a great option, can play fullback, wing and centre ata a pinch.
well, I guess you could say that I'm buy curious.

definatly have to sign Q , hes been great up there this year , although im not too sure why everyone keeps jumping on Brett Kelly , give him a few games in FG and i bet you will see that he IS a player worthy to be there , and tough to.
Also need to hang on to Costigan , if he leaves , believe me it will come back to bite us....hard, he will have a good year next season im sure
we have a guy called Michael Brophy in u20s who is tough enough to play FG too

can Best get out of the Souths contract like Smith did to us ??? it'd be great to keep him

So Purtell, Monaghan, Milne, Graham and Carney.

Plus maybe Brophy and Thompson who is a backrower anyway means we are covered? That'll do me.

The Burner is relying on Dugan and Vidot. Q and his brother are coming as a package according to Parra Pete.

I am pretty sure this one got made up by a guy at LU. He was arguning with Skeepe about Thompson and then posted this on the rumours thread. When did it get posted on the roosters forum?

I would be gutted it he left but I think he is on contract anyway.

Parra Pete reckons we've signed a couple of SL guys in Balcomb and Joyce, and now apparently looking at both Laulu Togagae brothers?

If Q is as good as people are saying, id be fairly happy, balcomb and joyce have got decent wraps aswell.

This is just a hint of nostalgia for you;

An interview with Andy Platt in RLW this week mentions that he had signed with us in 1990 but Wigan wouldnt release him! Imagine the GB test prop in that side? :o

In hindsight that was a good thing, or we may have missed out on a guy like Quinton Pongia.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Isn't that the irony. You miss out oon signing a test prop but end up unearthing another one.

No, I haven't said that. I said they are offering themselves to Clubs AS a PACKAGE. Sorry if there is confusion. BTW, they would be a great signing...

Tongue is NOT a 5/8th and he should stay the %^and*() out of the way when the Raiders are in attack. He totally punctuates the flow and if you ever doubted it, today's game provided all the evidence you need. The pass to the wrong player when he had multiple options including one bloke who was on the burst and through a hole. Then the pass to Herbert that Thaiday ate up. So it went on. :nooo
