Last I heard, Junior Tszyu wasn't on the undercard.

Horndog will probably get sparked out, but I wouldn't write him off completely. He genuinely does have a puncher's chance.

I don't think the other guy does.

Bugger, I'm sure he announced in the post interview of his last fight (Joseph Parker undercard) that he was on that card, will have to look up who else is scheduled but hadn't heard anything exciting previously.

It's being billed as the biggest day in Australian boxing history.

Looking at that line-up, it's hard to see where we're going to get a win from.

All our blokes will likely get scrambled like eggs.

Horndog, though a big outsider, looks the best chance of an upset.

All the other guys look hopelessly over-matched.

Aussies are 3 from 3 so far

Ya gotta love boxing.

A clean sport.

I fought Pauline Hanson, did enough for the win.

Didn't get the decision....the whole sport is a farce...

It's all about the money. The rematch will be worth a lot more for all of them and there are very few safe, big money fights left for Manny, who is clearly 5 years past his best.

Especially seeing Horn's corner had to plead the ref not to stop it after the 9th

Horn def lost the ninth .. up till that round he was probably in front and aquited himself well in the next 3 rounds .. if the fight had gone for another 10 secs Horn would have had Manny on the canvas.

No surprise Horn won

Some big shocks for sure but I always said Horndog had a chance.

Gotta give it to those Queenslanders. Damien Hooper's win (which wasn't televised) was a massive upset against a very talented opponent.

The Canberra boy deserved the decision against Mosley Jr and I thought Jeff Horn delivered a magnificent performance.

I thought PacMan had done enough to retain the belt but was happy to see the young Australian get the decision.

Look forward to the rematch.

he never hit him in the last bay, just airswings and head bumps.

I've been on the horn bandwagon for a few fights, thought he would win today and i thought maybe a draw but if anyone won it was pacman.

fingers crossed horn improves from this and pumps paccy in the rematch

BS. No serious boxing fan or commentator thinks it was even close. Danny Green is the only person who thought Horn won and he has about as much credibility in international boxing as Paul Gallen.

I have watched every one of Horns's fights and most of Manny's. Manny was far from his best, he gave up a big size advantage but he did way more damage and he still won pretty much every round. Horns most telling blows were head butts. Most of his punches landed on Manny's arms or shoulders.

The fight was a Bob Arum special and the rematch is easily the biggest money fight for Manny now Mayweather is fighting McGregor

Both commentators on Foxtel (one American, one Australian) had Horn ahead before the 9th .. Manny def got the 9th but you don't win on the score of one round .. the last three rounds were even and I'd say Horn won the last

I don't see what the fuss is about. Horn won more rounds than manny. Doesn't matter that he got smashed in the 9th, that's still only one round. It was a close fight, and I wasn't sure who would win, but to say it was rigged or that manny was robbed isn't right.

Totally agree .. Manny threw most of his punches in the 9th and therefore scored for that round .. Horn was in front before the 9th and probably won the last two.

Again I didn't watch the fight but tell me one guy landed literally double the punches, whilst the other guy almost had the fight stopped and looked like he'd been in a car crash AND virtually every boxing authority on social media thinks it was a screw job...

Well the balance of evidence begins to tilt one way haha

Sounds like it's classic boxing. They'll have a rematch, each make a big bit of coin and life will go on.

Correct you didn't watch it .. you might not know that it was a 12 round contest .. Manny threw most of his penetrating punches in the 9th but couldn't end the contest .. Horn won at least 5 of the first 8 rounds and probably 2 of the last three.

You know who DID watch it?
Every boxing authority around the world and they were basically universal in their vehement disagreement of the decision.

**** Teddy Atlas had no chill. Straight out told Horn he lost the fight in the post fight interview haha

The American boxing media are going off about the decision to cover their own backsides - none of them gave Horn a chance.

The facts are it was a close fight, Horn was competitive all the way and was close enough at the end to be given the decision.

The focus on the female judge who scored it 9-3 to Horn is a red herring. The two 7-5 scorecards were within the bounds of reasonableness and both of those favoured Horn.

Bottom line? 50,000 plus turned up and Horn is the new world champion.

His eye was the result of a head clash. The same clash that caused a gash in the side of Mannys head.

I had no issue with the result. I would have also had no issue if it went the other way. Manny started slow and Horn won the first 4-5 rounds. Yes Manny came out strong for the 9th but he was gassed after that.

I didn't see the Horn fight but apparently they re-scored the fight and he won. I did watch the highlights and although it was only a 10 minute highlights package it looked like he was controlling the ring, pushing the pace and took the fight up to Pacquiao.

yeah on replay 7-5 is pretty much right, thought the last 2 might've been drawn but they must've scored them 1 each so nothing doing there. 6-2 at the end of the 8th probably not too big a leap.
