Wasn't he boasting to some homeless bum he had been looking for some action earlier. But that was befor he dove head first into that rock and had a memory lapse? I'd suggest there lies your answer about the missing 6k.

I'm not sure of the particulars nor the timeframe in which they occurred anymore  - he's just about had everything he initially said contradicted now.

Good grief, Robert. Good grief.

 I wish Abbott had knighted him, rather than Prince Philip. that would have made my week- for services to sport. I used to jokingly refer to him as "sir Robert" whenever I saw him on TV or at the club, to my mates, after my experience with him and reading and observing his arrogant and twatish behaviours in and on the news over the years.

I'm really enjoying his downfall way too much.

Everyone needs to back the **** off Allenby, this is the best sports story in years. We are sufficating with fact, which is depriving him the oxygen he needs to really take this to the next level.

Back off, let him breathe. He's a golfer, he knows how to play out of a tough lie. Let the man do his thing and this story can continue to deliver!

I am too, hey.

How about 5 minutes after having reported his "abduction" he proceeded to tell the world that the FBI would be looking into the case. Shortly after, the FBI quite rightly advise that it's a matter for the local authorities ie the local Police.

I mean, the **** balls on this guy!

Get off Allenby's back.

Usually we cheer for people when they attempt to nail a birdie.

We almost had a punch on during the match play golf.

Looks like everyone getting in the spirit of the Mayweather Pacman fight.

Haha

It was pretty tame until ol' mate sprayed the caddy. Good mateship for Bradley to step in for him, just quietly.

Jimenez had no business commenting on the drop anyway - the official should have told him to bugger off before Bradley had to.

I think Jimenez has every right to walk over, its match play even the head official had to put the Golf Channel in its place.

Bradley took offence and is a right shmuck, as for the caddie he should have just shut up and not chastised the actually player in a Spanish accent, he's only there to carry the bags and wipe spit off Bradley's face.

Allenby in the news recently, proving himself to be an absolutely horrible man. And as my previous posts in this read suggest, show him be an absolute liar when claiming to be bashed earlier this year when we all know he was an absolute testical.

Anyone else staying up to watch the masters? They are playing Normans capitulation from 96 as a warm up. It's vomit inducing.

I swear to,God, every time I watch a major I think to myself that if that was me teeing off I would slice it straight into the gallery and kill someone, probably a geezer in a wheelchair. I really do admire the long games of the pros and 70% of the time it goes straight down the fairways for hundreds of metres.

Good to see all the golfing fans contributing to this thread. I just saw Jordan Speith miss a 17 foot put by a bees and the commentator gleefully states that you can't sink them all. I'm a massive fan of Jason Day but gee wiz Jordan is is another class, very special player.

Jason Day, currently 4 but on a steam train on the journey to home. I'm actually considering switching to golf, me an away supporter. So much more rewarding. And yes I'm a hack.

I would find golf more enjoyable if there were less trees and dams and bunkers etc...

Bloody Augusta - it's seldom without drama. Speith hits a quad bogey on a par 3 and blows his tournament.

Danny Willet takes it out with 5 under.

A mate of mine had $50 on Willett to win @ $51
He cashed out when Speith was up 5 strokes for $260

The horror

I let my $10 bet ride @ $21 and won $210

Oh, no way! That cash out option is giving people nightmares I reckon. I don't look at the option during games 'cause it'll **** with my head. I figure the outlay was only ever x amount, so may as well let it ride.

Luck you did - good darts.

I've cashed out some absolute shockers but never that bad
It's as bad a beat as I've seen
Horrendous

Basically the hole after he cashed out Willett rattled off 2-3 birdies in a row whilst Speith unravelled on the 12
Sickening stuff

Great bet pigsty, but you ought to have come in much earlier to the thread or posted a screen shot of your winning ticket.

My greatest ever Golfing punt was getting on Michael Campbell to win the US open back in the mid naughties. I'm pretty sure it was a 5 or 10 dollar bet but I remember getting back PLENTY!

Absolutely.

He needed only a par on the last to secure the win - the commentators thought he should tee off with a 3 iron; Chalmers took out the driver and bossed it. The commentators then thought he should just lay up; Chalmers hit it within 8 feet before sinking the put for Eagle.

Gary Player quote -

"You drive for show, you putt for dough"

In the lead up to the British Open he was sifting through the players with a chance of winning.
He said putting wins tournaments...
