Can't help but think this is our annual run of incredible form, and then we, as usual, will go for that 'other' annual run of dreadful form.

ARRGGHH !!!

Following Leeds has a similarity with following the Raiders or riding a roller coaster ... strap yourselves in guys

...but as with the Raiders, strapping yourself in for the entire journey is a lot more fulfilling in the long term than simply teleporting yourself directly to the final destination.

I wouldn't have it any other way

Arsenal 1 - Leeds 1 in the FA cup

Leeds scored a penalty in the 54th, Arsenal replied with a penalty in the 89th ... I thought we'd absorbed all the pressure and would get away with a win but the inevitable happened late in the game ... reply at Elland Rd

I didnt see the game, we must have played pretty well, hopefuly we can take some of that defensive grit back to the Championship race

Leeds had them on the run, then they changed tactics and played it defensively, thats where they lost it.

the Arsenal Penalty was also a complete waste, you dont pull a guys shirt in the penalty box in the 89th minute when you are up 1-0.

some great saves by the Leeds keeper too in Injury time to keep them in the Cup for a extra week.

Leeds played pretty well, especially early in the game ... they could have "sealed it" after their penalty with a pinpoint header from a corner directed between the goalpost defender and the keeper but it was brilliantly saved by the diving keeper on the line ... had a few chances after that as well.

After that Leeds sat back, Arsenal were disallowed a penalty which they should have been given .. they muffed a lot of chances in our defensive third ... when they received the penalty in the 89th min it was no surpirse and they were within an ant's testicles of scoring on three other occassions in the final 5 mins ... I was hangin on for dear life thinking yea we almost won, played well enough for a draw and then the unthinkable of having it snatched away in the dying minutes.

If they can take that sort of form into the championship they'll finish the season off well.

GO LEEDS !!

upcoming games on Fox Sports:

13/2 - Fox Sports 3 @ 2am - Bristol City vs Leeds
27/2 - Fox Sports 2 @ midnight - Swansea vs Leeds

There's another game coming up in April, just awaiting scheduling details

for those lucky enough to remember, Leeds away win over Bristol was on Fox 3 on Sunday morning. Pretty good win, though Bristol were all over us in the second half chasing a goal. We were unlucky not to score from some quick breaks though. Snodgrass's goal was quality.

This week we have fellow promotion hopefuls Norwish at home, followed by Barnsley at home and Swansea away. 9 points here would be outstanding, as the Norwich and Barnsley games really are 6 point games. We then have a fairly comfortable March before a hectic April which will sort out who gets to play with the big boys in 2011-12.

Next few matches
Home vs Barnsley (14th)
Away vs Swansea (3rd)
Home vs Doncaster (17th)

Swansea will be tough but if Leeds consider themselves serious promotion contenders they need a result vs Swansea and 6 points from the other two.

Is the Championship Play-Off Final at Wembley this year? I know the League 2 one got moved to Old Trafford due to Champions League. I think Oxford are out of the race for that now anyway with a few losses on the trot now. :(
