How Jets is that?!?
Fairly obvious the tanking is happening at management level not on the field. Those guys are putting in and improving all the time. Will be some long term benefit in giving this many backup level players so much 1st team game time.

In the flip side we can say without doubt that Adam Gase is the worst head coach in the NFL.

Cracker game. Wish it got decided by a TD instead of FG. That 55 yarder to level of was impressive though.
Given the wind, ballsy to attempt it

I suppose technically both, but was aimed as Gase

The way Tannehill has gone at the Titans there might be a few teams keen to trade for Darnold. :)

They're bad offensively, but we're terrible defensively, so that kind of irons itself out... That bears D is still very legit, and i was happy with how the eagles started the game, and then the huge 8 minute drive where Carson was out of his **** mind, to finish it and get the W.
Still a lot for the Eagles to work on.

The one big positive wasd Andre Dillard is absolutely legit. He held his own today against a VERY good Bears front and got himself a plenty of reps against Kahlil Mack, and did his job. All of a sudden i dont have a single fear about what happens post Jason Peters... pretty rare that you go from a HOF, once in a generation LT to a guy with Dillard's talent

------

The Phins deserved to win, they've played well and i think they're actually pretty well coached. They are tanking though at an organisational level

I dont think Gase is a good HC, in fact i think he's garbage, but Freddie Kitchens would like to have a chat with NR re: worst HC in the NFL.

Lamar Jackson might not last long in this league, but he's going to burn very bright for the 5-7 years he's around for. If there is a more fun player to watch in the league, i havent seen him. Wildly talented.

Ill put it out there, but is Lamar the 2nd coming of Micheal Vick?

Wentz still saw a lot of turf, but against that Bears front you have to expect a few. I feel like he had enough time on most snaps though, so that was pretty impressive.

Id have Gase below Kitchens, but only just. Still not sure how they cocked that game up against the Bronx. BUT... how is OBJ and Landry not catching/ being targeted 2 out of 3 passes or 2 out of 4 passes thrown??? Mayfield can play, and while he has an INT in him, putting the shackles on isnt working either.

yeah it's pretty close  You wouldnt feel great with either in chare... Gase has less to work with, Freddie Kitchens has a loaded roster and that team is the most penalised team in football by a long way and by far has the most mental mistakes... that's straight up coaching. He's a bum

Hope that start isnt signs of things to come in this game.... ooph!
Muff kickoff, then INT.
At least they held for a FG.

Well...
That was a very Cowboys type half.
Look good, esp with the ball, but find new and fun ways to screw up.
Then, despite being outplayed for the most part, finish ahead at the half.

Nothing wrong with the uniforms, just gotta the eye having both on the field at once.

Finished watching this game, think the Broncos might be better off without Flacco. I know he's injured, but he's looked slow all season.

Speculation the Panthers might move on from Cam Newton. He's on IR and only has 1 more year on his contract. Would be a massive call but maybe a smart one.

Flacco isnt either Manning or any of the other guys that joined the league around the same time as him. He is a deep threat QB. Bronx team werent setup for him. Sanders (no longer there of course) and Sutton can get deep, BUT, they arent your route running deep speed guys that get separation on deeper routes, which is Flaccos preferred WR. Guys like Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith, Mike Wallace, Derrick Mason, Jacoby Jones, even Steve 'forever a Panther' Smith

How cool is this....
The MVP race ATM is Wilson, Jackson, Watson and MacCafferey.
3 black QBs and a white RB.
WHAT KIND OF WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN?!?!?!??!?

Re: NFL Thread

yeah that's pretty great.

the fact that a white boy RB is tearing the **** league up is somehow cooler than black qbs running up the scoreboards... black players have always had the required skills and athleticism to play QB, it's just been conservative coaches, in both their risk appetite with running/athletic qbs and conservative in their views on race, that's held them back

White guys like McCaffrey physiologically dont usually have the same level of high twitch muscles as African americans, which makes it hard for them to succeed in the NFL at positions like CB, RB and WR due to restrictions on how fast and fluidly they can run and change direction... so that McCaffrey is just a **** baller as some pasty white boy in a position that requires so much athleticism is **** cool as ****

100% agree.
You might remember we had a conversation regarding who was better between Zeke and McCaffrey when Zeke was entering the draft. I really really liked McCaffrey at the time, and possibly more than Zeke - that could also be because I was all in on Ramsey too.

They should have gone after basically anyone else, but coz he is still better than Case Keenum and whoever they had before that.
This Brandon Allen kid has been in the league as a scout squad backup for 3 yrs. Maybe he needed that time to mature etc, but lets give him more time to decide if he can actually play.
