Ive balloted that pick as a D.
I did the same with the G-Men pick. Horrible

I would not have expected any of JOK, Barremore (after hearing he needs a baby sitter I can now though), Ojlari or Moerhig to still be there.
Moore, Jenkins and Marshall Jr are surprising too.

I like it even more. Got $8.50 for Buccs to take a LB. Closed out Day 1 with another collect. :thumbsup

For those of you who like a punt. Id suggest Cowboys will try to get 2 picks in the 2nd round with those 3 3s.
Id bet on a CB and a DL (more likely inside, but they might get a rotational edge), then an OT in the 3rd.

Nice work. Lots of accumulated value there.

I collected on Jones getting past pick 3.

Best collect was Dolphins at 18. I already had Phillips for first DL off the board $20 @ $3.10. Then took $20 @ $4.50 for a DL to be picked at 18. I had another $10 when it went out to $6.00. This was the market Sportsbet screwed up by having WR on top at $2.30, which effectively boosted the odds of everything else.

Sneaky $85 collect to finish with Buccs taking a LB.

I'm looking at the board and as usual there's plenty of 1st round talent available on Day 2. Dolphins with pick 36, 50 and 81. If JOK gets past those first 3 picks I reckon we'll jump at the chance. Alternatively we may need to pull the trigger early for Javonte Williams. Harris and Ettienne off the board his stock has risen and may not last till 50.

The other one I've eyed off on Day 2 is Alabama centre Landon Dickerson. We have no long term option there and he's the positional standout of the draft. Coming off ACL tear is an obvious concern. If not for that he would have gone in the 1st round. Could be there at 50. If we're lucky 81 though you wouldn't bank on it.

My perfect day 2 for Dolphins is JOK, Williams and Dickerson. May need to play safe and take Williams and Dickerson in 2nd round then use 3rd round on a LB. Also comfortable if they grab another OT if the right one is available. Lots of options.

Im going to assume we trade back into the 2nd via 2 of our 3 3s, and therefore only pick once in the 3rd.
I need at least 1 DB out of Campbell, Robinson, Molden, Samuel Jr OR Moerhrig, Holland or Washington (could be a 3rd Rd option). CB over S, but DB. I suspect this is pick 44.

To get these guys we would need back into the 2nd.
I need a DL, probably DT over DE. Barmore or Onwuzurike would fit our 'issues' profile in the 2nd Rd. Basham ive seen us mocked too a couple of times.

OT is the other. Jenkins, Cosmi, Eichenberg.

If we go saftey at 44, I reckon its CB in the 3rd. Someone like Lenoir has been talked about on the Dallas draft stuff.

With that list of needs you'll have plenty of options at 44. If Moehrig lasts that long they should jump on him He's the best cover safety in the draft. While not a pure CB he'll still strengthen the pass defence. Could even play nickel as he can cover the slot.

Barmore could also be a steal if he drops. No1 DT at 44 would be a gift.

Yep. Top OT in the draft at 13 is a gift.
Better than Sewell?
More versatile and an NFL ready prospect. Sewell more naturally gifted and a bigger upside.
Yeah i have Sewell higher but i dont think there is much in it. That's a slam dunk pick

So the eagles go into day 2 with needs at corner, safety and LB, IOL
Some options i like

Corners im interested in: Asante Samuel Jr, Elijah Molden, Benjamin St-Juste, Paulson Adebo and Aaron Robinson... really not interested in Tyson Campbell, so hoping to avoid him and also Ifeatu Melifonwu is not for me.
At safety Javon Holland, Hamsah Nasirildeen, Andre Cisco and Talanoa Hufanga are all good names for me.
At LB, Chazz Surratt, Jabril Cox, Pete Werner, Dylan Moses and Tony Fields II are players i'd really like
For IOL: Landon Dickerson, Josh Myers, Creed Humpries, Quinn Meinerz and Trey Smith

Pigman's the clear winner of 2021 draft:

Exact picks (same player, same team, same number)*
Pigman = 9
Bone = 5
Communal = 5
*You can +1 to all 3 mocks for Vera-Tucker at #14 to a different team

We all had: Lawrence @ 1, Wilson @ 2, and Pitts @ 4.

Piggles and Boney also had Harris @24
Whilst Piggles and Communal both had Jones @15

Piggles had Lance @ 3, Chase @ 5, and subsequently Waddle and Sewell @ 6 and 7 respectively.
Boney had Rousseau @30
Communal had Slater @ 13

Communal exact picks:
2 x all (Lawrence and Wilson)
2 x Boney (Pitts and Slater)
1 x Piggles (Vera-Tucker)*
1 x NR (Jones)
*same spot different team

1st round mocks actually selected in first round:
Piggles and Boney = 26/32
Communal = 25/32

Mocked in round 1 but not selected:
All 3 = Jenkins, Ojulari, Owusu-Koromoah, Moehrig, E. Moore, Barmore
Communal only = Marshall Jr

Not mocked but selected in round 1:
All 3 = Leatherwood, Turner, Stokes
Piggles and Boney = Etienne
Boney and Communal = Davis, Tryon
Piggles and Communal = Toney
Piggles = Rousseau
Communal = Harris

Boney's snap grades:

1 Jaguars Trevor Lawrence
A = too easy

2 Jets Zach Wilson
B+ = I have a nagging thought that the Jets should've stuck with Darnold and cashed in the #2 pick for a haul of picks

3 49ers Trey Lance
A- = I would've taken Fields, but can't fault them for taking their guy

4 Falcons Kyle Pitts
A = good choice, no need for them to get a new QB yet

5 Bengals Ja'Marr Chase
B = not a reflection of Chase, but they should've got Sewell

6 Dolphins Jaylen Waddle
A = Chase or Waddle, they were in a win-win situation

7 Lions Penei Sewell
A = he fell in their lap. This team desperately needs some WRs in later rounds though

8 Panthers Jaycee Horn
B = felt they should've gone Slater, but apparently they see him as more of guard hence the value wasn't there

9 Broncos Patrick Surtain II
C = I really think they missed a trick here by not drafting Fields. Fancy going in with Lock and TB as your QBs... yikes

10 Eagles DeVonta Smith
A = Jumped a division rival to snag the Heisman Trophy winner

11 Bears Justin Fields
A+ = Bravo Bears for going up and getting your guy

12 Cowboys Micah Parsons
A- = The board didn't fall well for them with the top 2 CBs going 8 and 9. Did well to trade back two spots, pick up a third rounder, and still draft arguably the best defensive player in the draft

13 Chargers Rashawn Slater
A = they ran this card up

14 Jets Alijah Vera-Tucker
B- = For a team with so many holes, not sure the trade up was the wisest move, but they got a good player

15 Patriots Mac Jones
A- = I don't love Jones but the Patriots got their QB without having to move

16 Cardinals Zaven Collins
A- = decent move

17 Raiders Alex Leatherwood
C = the Raiders always seem to be the first team to reach, even if it's only slightly

18 Dolphins Jaelan Phillips
B+ = great player, though his concussion history gives me pause

19 Washington Jamin Davis
B = this is a good team in need of a franchise QB, and they didn't get one

20 Giants Kadarius Toney
B+ = Love the trade down, especially to get a 1st, 4th and 5th in addition to this pick. They were clearly jumped by the Eagles for DeVonta so they lose some points there, and I don't love this pick... If the Giants got one of the top 3 WRs I'd be pumped, but choosing the first of the "2a" bunch seems like a luxury that the Giants could've spent elsewhere

21 Colts Kwity Paye
A- = good value pick

22 Titans Caleb Farley
B+ = Titans took a risk with the injury plagued Jeffery Simmons and it worked out... will the same happen here?

23 Vikings Christian Darrisaw
A+ = Traded down and got the same player they likely would've taken at #14

24 Steelers Najee Harris
A = Good move. With second RB contracts being an albatross for many teams, I think getting a 5th year option for a first round RB is an underrated move

25 Jaguars Travis Etienne
A = Same comment as Steelers, plus the feel good story of reuniting Lawrence and Etienne

26 Browns Greg Newsome
A+ = Fell right into their lap

27 Ravens Rashod Bateman
A = Bateman will be great for Lamar

28 Saints Payton Turner
F = Again I ask, who the **** is this guy?

29 Packers Eric Stokes
A- = Kevin King was horrific in the NFC championship game (and yet they still re-signed him). GB needed secondary help

30 Bills Gregory Rousseau
A- = I knew McDermott would snap him up if available. They'll be hoping he does better than AJ Epinesa did in his rookie year

31 Ravens Jayson Oweh
A- = Ravens use the Chiefs' pick wisely

32 Buccaneers Joe Tryon
A- = With no needs, Buccs simply had to choose the BPA on their board. Can't fault this.

Some early 2nd round bets on position of player drafted.

I had Barmore to Jags at 25 in the communal mock. He's on the board and Jags are 1st up. DL is $15.00 which is big overs so a spec bet there. I actually think they will grab Moehrig so had something on Safety at $7.00 too.

Jets have gone QB and OL in 1st round so certain to address defense next. DL is prohibitive favourite at $1.67 and I think they could draft almost anywhere. With JOK on the board that would be too hard to pass up so LB at $9.00 looks the value.

Falcons need help on pass rush. They will draft Edge/DE here. $3.10 for that is the play.

Dolphins could go several ways. Javonte Williams will definitely be there. Will they grab him is the question. $3.60 for RB is OK but I'll take $6.50 on LB. If JOK is still there they will jump on it.

Pheagles almost certainly going to address CB here. Despite being short $1.80 looks like a sure thing.

2 years in a row I've been stoked with Dolphins first 2 picks then get a total head scratcher for the 3rd. Depth at Safety was something I expected they address later in the draft. Pick itself is OK. Taking him at 36 seems a reach.

Williams off the board I was happy to go defense. JOK was such an obvious pick to me.

Agreed. Good player, not sure it was the right move for them in that spot
JOK is what they wanted Fitzpatrick to be
Would have been a easy fit in that defence

I feel a bit the same about Dickerson

High risk, potentially big reward. If you can keep him in one piece he could achor the line for years. ACL injuries a big concern though. Can seriously impact the base for an OL.

He's immense, but with half our d-line returning post covid, I honestly thought WR was more of a need. Unless the N'Keal Harry experience has ruined Bill's WR hopes.
