Just have to work out a convenient time for people. Although I believe you can set your picks prior and let it run automated. 10 team comp with 60 secs each pick would be 10 mins per round. Makes the whole process 2-3 hours.
What are people's preferences on time?

Re: NFL Thread
Gardner Minshew to the Eagles for a conditional 6th round pick. If he plays 50% of snaps in 3 different games, the 6th turns into a 5th.

Re: NFL Thread
Another preseason game with very few starters and reps for them. Basically all rookies again.
Ill start with Jazz. Well... Lawrence looked gooood. The prodigie might just be that good. That said, our 2nd string D Line pushed the pocket all night. Didnt get home, but pressure. So he better hope his OL can hold up.
That rookie receiver #10, Shenault (?), looks good. Bit of a beast in contact too. Devin Smith hit us on a 45yd bomb too.
The running back Ozibgo. Very hard to bring down. Low centre of gravity for a big guy - over 6 foot. Bit Zeke-ish in that regard. He was dangerous and powerful.
On our side... Di Nucci looked good this wk. Was a train wreck a couple of wks ago. So 3rd string looks like he can make some plays, even if the risk of INT is still too high for my liking.
As far as skilled players go, maybe 2 of the WRs make the 53, but probably only 1. It's Turner vs Fehoko (5th round pick). Turner was a prac squad guy last yr.
With our FB and 3rd TE injured, decent chance former WFT TE Jeremy Sprinkle makes the wk 1 53.
Soo... skilled players, its the 2nd and 3rd QB, our kicker and punter, and then players 50-53 on the roster.
Our DB'S still look young and raw. Talent is there, but patience/ % play might still need to be drilled home. Which is a killer for the position if u don't learn early.
Saftey was the only position we played any potential 1st stringers on D, with Malik Hooker getting some reps. And even then, 1st string isn't guaranteed.
So, 4 losses from 4 games. But valuable experience for the rookies. And we should know what we have now.

Re: NFL Thread
Given that im far from sold on Hurts as a long term franchise QB and his style leads to more injury risk than pocket qbs, picking up Minshew who's about as good a back up QB as you could want in the league for that price is a slam dunk
If he has to step in, he can help win you some games.
Disappointing-ish news is that Watson wont waive no trade clause for the eagles so looks like they're out on the sweep, which sucks a little bit because he's good but is probably good because he sucks as a person
In other news the JK Dobbins news is a crushing for the Ravens. Not sure what they do from here, but he was so good for them with his dynamic play making ability that now just isnt on the roster as far as rb's go.

Re: NFL Thread
Deshaun Watson trade rumours resurfaced again this week. Several commentators saying Dolphins are front runners. I'm sure the Phins would happily take Watson on board. Just not at the price the Texans want i.e. 3 x 1st round, 2 x 2nd round and players with nothing conditional (e.g. not going to jail).

Re: NFL Thread
Apparently multiple team dropped out due to asking price and Watson being unwilling to waive his no trade clause
Something will happen with Watson soon i think... Think being the right word, certainly wouldnt shock me if nothing comes of it until this legal stuff is over

I heard he was only willing to waive his 'no trade' clause for Dolphins and maybe Panthers. Didn't want to go to Denver or Philly. Obviously likes the warmer weather.

Re: NFL Thread
He might not have many options
If Tua actually looks good, and i think there is at least a good chance he will, then their motivation to spend huge draft captial to trade for Watson goes away, and at some point Denver can probably keep their powder dry and just trade for Rodgers probably half the cost year.

Re: NFL Thread
Difference with Rodgers is he's closing out his career. Watson has only just started. Get him and you have an elite QB for potentially 10+ years. If there were no side issues then the price could be justified. Particularly for a team with a well rounded roster but lacking a quality QB. Trouble is those question marks exist and no team will trade the farm for a guy who may end up being charged by police, suspended by the NFL or maybe even see jail time.

Re: NFL Thread
My player knowledge isnt as good as others, but here are a few cuts that caught my eye:
Bills - WR Lance Lenior (only coz he was a Cowboy cut a few yrs ago)
Pats - QB Cam Newton... whaaaaaaaaat?!?!?
- WR Tre Nixon - he is the former Giant??
Jets - CUT LAMAR JACKSON!!! .... oh wait... CB.
Bengals - S Kavon Fraizer (another ex-Cowboy)
Texans - RB Darius Jackson - is he over the hill now?
Jags - TE Tim Tebow... well... the marketing stunt is over
Cheifs - DE Taco Charlton (another Ex-Cowboy... 1st or 2nd Rd too. Was a horrible pick!)
LV Raiders - RB Bo Scarbrough (ex-Cowboy. I liked this guy. Bulldozer. Not that talented though)
Cowboys - QB Garrett Gilbert
- QB Ben DiNucci (last yrs 7th... more like our 10th pick though)
- P Niswander (this guy can punt)
Giants - RB Alfred Morris (ex-Skin and Cowboy, must be old now)
Pheagles - @Botman, anyone any good here?!?!
WFT - Dont recognize anyone here
Bears - OL Adam Redmond (Ex-Cowboy... well Ex everyone TBH)
Lions - WR Breshad Perriman - is this the Perriman I think it is?
Packers - WR Devin Funchess - Im guessing age finally caught up
Saints - RB Devonta Freeman - too old/ beat up?
LB - Noah Spence - wasnt he a high draft pick a yr or 2 ago?
CB - Prince Amukamara - high draft pick a few yrs back?
K - Brett Maher (Ex-Cowboy, can kick it from 60, but not inside 35)
49ers - QB Josh Rosen ..... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us throw him a life line!
Seahawks - TE Luke Willson - NOT the OTHER Willson?!?!

Re: NFL Thread
Cam Newton was the biggest cut obviously
I think that was probably a mutual decision... i would bet down the line we get some reporting that BB and Patriots wanted to keep him and offered to keep him on the roster as the back up, or they'd release him if he preferred that and he picked to be cut
Re the eagles, the biggest shock is Travis Fulgham being cut, dude had some good games for the eagles last year and certain i think merited a spot in the squad over JJAW, but he's not a very crisp route runner which i think is a key emphasis for Siriani and his offence
Most important Eagles related news is Jordan Mailata has officially won the starting LT role ahead of Andre Dillard. Well deserved. He should be looking at a pretty decent contract soon

Re: NFL Thread
That would be my take on Newton as well. Once Belichick decided to go with Jones as starter Newton became an overpriced backup. Some other team will pick him up to compete for a starting role. Right now Texans would be the obvious landing spot given the Deshaun Watson situation. They need to pull that trigger pretty quickly I reckon.
Tim Tebow was never going to make it as a TE. His only remaining option might be the WWE. Can take Taco Charlton with him. What a dud he's been.

Re: NFL Thread
If Howie Roseman handles this the way he typically has, he's not going to let Mailata play out a year and have to franchise him/pay him top market
I would expect him to get a deal that pays him about 12-15m a year, but will be heavily laced with incentives for all pros/pro bowls etc

Other notable moves on cut day
- Herndon traded to the Vikings... Take Irv Smith off your fantasy sleepers list, this move suggests to me Irv isnt coming back any time soon. Also excited for Herndon here, because i love his talent but just hasn't really taken off yet. Could be a good late pick up
- Gerrid Doaks for Miami i thought looked good, wonder if he'll get picked up by someone or if they can sneak him on the PS.
- DJ Daniel got cut from the jags, i expect he'll attract some interest. I liked him coming out of this draft.
- Hard knocks darling Keelen Doss cut from the Raiders... gotta make the most of it during your time in the sun
- Cowboys go through the cut with Jaylen Smith and LVE on the team, i expected them to trade or cut at least one of them
- Mims sticks around on the jets, there was chatter the 2nd round pick from last year might be a surprise cut, think they're right to hold on to him and give him a longer leash in the new regime
- the bears cut Dazz Newsome and Riley Ridley, both are players i thought could be a good players, ill have my eye on them
- Detroit cut Perriman despite paying him a 2m in a signing bonus... shows how this league is, teams will piss away millions without a seconds though.
- They also cut Nickell Robey-Coleman who i think is a good NFL slot corner in the right system and Fat Randy Bullock, the Kicker who's brought me many laughs over the years. I hope this isn't the end for Fat Randy.
- Josh Rosen makes the Falcons roster. I might be the only left in the world who still thinks he has a chance
- Vikings cut Everson Griffin... have to think this is a cap move and that he'll be back with them quickly on a revised deal.
- Former first round bust Prince Amukamara got sent packing by the Saints, that was a big draft miss by me. Thought he'd be a stud.
- Cardinals cut James Wiggins, a 7th round pick this year. I liked him a lot more than that. Wondering if he sees some action, but probably not. The league obviously didnt see him the way i did.
- Eagles week 17 hero Nate Sudfeld cut from the niners... Wont shock me if at some point the Eagles move on from Joe Flacco and bring back Nate as their #3.
- Niners also cut arguably the best name in football Ha-ha Clinton Dix... another big draft bust for me. Think he'll get a job somewhere else though.

A lot of the cuts are actually hitting the waiver wire. Expect to see a lot of action in the next 24 hours as teams fill gaps from other's cast offs. Many of the waived players will end up on practice squads.
