Carroll does done strange ****. The defence is awful. At least Carson seems to be over his fumbles, for now.PigRickman wrote:Pete Carroll giving the rams 10 yard cushions all the way down the field
Did he know a FG would sink them? Good grief

Niners roll the Rams. Starting to look like the real deal now. Them and the Pats only unbeaten teams.

Ugly game for the Eagles too, just got waffle stomped on the road to Mini.
Those Eagles corners are the sorriest bunch of ***** ive ever seen
Unless the eagles find a pass rush and get some help at corner, they're absolutely toast

Re: NFL Thread
Huge deal. I guess it could be regarded as a good result for both teams. Jags pick up some great draft collateral for a player that wanted out. Rams get the too shelf corner they desperately needed.

Re: NFL Thread
I dont think this solves the problems for the Rams
They've actually been ok on defence... Ramsey is going to fix the issues with the OL, it's not going to magically make Gurley's knee OK, and it's not going to stop NFL Defensive coordinators from taking away the outside zone running game, and the play action off that and forcing Goff into being a drop back passer, which he is not good enough to do
I think this is a good result for the Jags. I think these picks could be closer to middle of round 1 than back end of round 1

My step brother is a Ravens fan...
He was going nutz when Peters got the pick 6.
Jackson did some freaky things with his legs, Im not going to say he isnt Michael Vick, but certainly has some flashes of that.

Re: NFL Thread
This eagles team lacks play makers on the outside, a consistent pass rush, has no talent at LB, and the worst bunch of corners I’ve ever laid eyes on
When a team shows you who they are, believe it. This a a stinky 7-9 eagles teams
Lot of work to be done here.
Re: the Pederson stuff, it’s fascinating the reaction to that. He didn’t guarantee victory. He just said they’d win, which isn’t exactly some bold statement
I dunno, if the coach isn’t confident of getting wins you should fire his **** haha
And btw, that coach has a super bowl ring. So you stick with your staff and I’ll hang with mine, @Matt

TBH, last wks Cowboys were banged up, and played like it.
The wk before... who the F knows?!?!?
This wk they looked like the team from the first 3 wks.
PS. Since when were you botman?
Re: NFL Thread
I think the Cowboys just beat up on bad teams, and are going to struggle against good ones because of the QB-HC combo.
Unfortunately for reasons outlined above, this philly team appears very much to be a "bad" team
If you cant cover, you cant rush the passer and you dont have play makers on the outside and your running game is ordinary... well, that's a bad football team, regardless of what else is around it.

Re: NFL Thread
I think Dallas have a team capable of causing some havok, it's a very well rounded squad and well set up to support it's QB and HC deficiency... The eagles have a QB capable of dragging a team kicking and screaming to a title but he's got to play better and those around him have to help him... but these are perfect situation scenarios
What the play offs require is for a team to be able to win in multiple ways... and i dont see either of these NFCE teams capable of that. It probably helps that the NFC in general is a little stinky right now, GB, SF and Saints look the pick of the litter, but none of those teams are unbeatable.
Hard to imagine those teams beating either the Pats or Chiefs, injuries being equal... Though the Packers are terrifying if they've clicked on offence.

Just watched the highlights from the Giants game. Looked like the D phoned it in until the last quarter.
That first Packers TD from Rodgers was sublime.

RE: Pederson - it’s bold to claim a win in a public forum ahead of a rivalry game. Think that and say it in private all you want, but don’t provide the opposition with additional motivation and leave yourself open to having egg on your face. It was a dumb thing to say and I don’t think the reaction to it was all that surprising.

My point of view exactly.
Normally the line is 'we are trying to win a football game' (BTW, this is a Garrett staple), OR, ' it will be tough, but we are going out there to win it', OR 'this is a tough league, but these are the game you wanna win'. Don't guarantee anything.

Cowboys trade a 2021 7th for Michael Bennett DE of Patriots. The 7th can become a 6th - im guessing performance based.
