Buccaneers and Panthers game was weird to watch, production issue meaning they only had two cameras working for most of the game
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

It's the right move
I am a bit disappointed because ive got Eli in a 2qb league and in certain match ups i think he could have kept me afloat alternating him and Dalton... and now im in a little trouble there

but the organisation absolutely has to start moving forward with Danny Dimes

I dont actually think the Cowboys are in on this, they've got a lot of big contracts just signed and Dak still to go.
I dont think they could afford to bring him for the cost it'll take and then pay him... but the NFL salary cap is weird so who knows

The Eagles are definitely heavily interested, and ill bet the other is Washington.

We enquired, like we did with Fitzpatrick, but our only real play was Taco. We didnt was to give up multiple picks. Annoyingly, Phins got Taco anyway.

Being a giants fan, I am excited to see what he can offer.
Eli is a legend, but he is getting on. Fresh legs are needed.

Yeah 100%
I got very into NFL twitter and cracking jokes about Daniel Jones being picked so high and i stand by it... he shouldnt have been a top10 pick, but if i can reel myself back out of this a little bit, he was still a genuine first round talent, albeit a back end of the first round

It's not like the kid was a bum prospect, lot of people saying he hasnt got a hope. I think i saw enough in pre season to say he's got a chance to be a good QB

Agree completely.

He is an Eli clone which is why they went him in the end.
He looked better than all the other rookie qbs in preseason...of those that played that is.

I dont think so for a few reasons...

first and foremost he's done... like properly done. He's not coming in to any team... Pit, or Jax or NO and taking them on a run. His arm is cooked, his game is cooked. So i dont think any contender in the league is looking at him thinking "that guy can get us where we want to go" and if you're not a contender, you definitely dont want anything to do with Eli

and secondly, he's very tied into that org, and that city. I dont see him being a player who pulls on another jersey. I think he'll retire, and if he doesn't it will because Daniel Jones shows enough and Eli is really happy playing the back up/mentor role and that works really well, and they just run it back and let him keep playing and learning for Eli as a back up.. or Daniel Jones sucks and they need Eli to come back in to continue to develop and/or go again in the draft.

Good points.
I hope he stays. His class and experience are so beneficial for any young QB we have, whether it be Jones or someone else.
He bleeds blue and would be a great mentor next year and onwards.
The way we are playing, we will have a shot at another QB on next years draft.
Herbert will be there then if they want him, as they were keen this year before he decided not to declare.

I dont see it, unless they had a total clean out at GM and coach, Jones is staying for this year and next, they'll reassess there after. From their perspective they want to see a ton of promise from Jones and to lose every **** game they play and get the #1 pick and force someone to pay them a kings randsom for Tua...

but then that involves passing on Tua... and i wouldnt be signing off on that! haha

But we are taking about the giants here...nothing surprises me anymore.

I personally HATE bama
But there is no denying the talents of the QB's coming through, Tua included... Fromm, Hurts, Herbert,Eason, Fields, and my guy, who i think is the best QB prospect ive seen in limited time... Trevor Lawrence.
Its a bit hard to see how this all ends

But then now i think it through, I guess we have Ben, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Mariota, Winston, Trubisky, Rosen*, Dalton, Carr, Cousins, Stafford, Flacco, Brissett, Newton and Hasksins who are all in positions where you wouldnt be stunned by any means if those teams decide to move on in the next 2 years for one reason or another... maybe QB parity is further away than it seems. That's over half the league! haha

* - not his fault, i hope the eagles sign him as a back up once he is cut from the Dolphins. He's a good QB. That's a hill im willing to die on right now haha

Very much appears like it.
I should have known, there was NO **** chance the lord and saviour above would let me have two functionally good sports team at the one time. On the road next week on a short week at the Packers. 1-3 coming up and that's all over red rover.
