BTW, the unpredictable Rams, doing the job over Seattle.
Re: NFL Thread
They can but they won't. Need a massive clean out, got on a few lucky/good runs at the right time in years gone by and possibly papered over some big issues. Dunno, you blokes follow it more closely than I do.Matt wrote:@gergreg, can the G-Men slay the Eagles tomorrow?
@Botman, can Eagles make enough plays to win tomorrow? Thus leveling the NFC East tyre fire

Re: NFL Thread
Torn between thinking this team is still talented enough that with a home play off game, they could spring an upset and make a little bit of a run in an NFC that i dont think it actually THAT good and being like **** this, we need CeeDee Lamb or someone like him
So i dunno... i think we'll win, i think we should win but this eagles team has proven time and time again that it can lose to anyone. So a loss wouldnt shock me in the slightest.

Seahawks seem to struggle with teams with 3 run options.Matt wrote:BTW, the unpredictable Rams, doing the job over Seattle.
Gina Riley: Oh, come on, John. That’s a bit old hat, the corrupt IOC delegate.
John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

LOL. Lane Johnson goes down with a major injury, Alshon Jeffery goes down with a major injury.
The eagles can't even run 11 personnel now because they've only got 2 fit WRs active... JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Greg Ward...
Also Eli Manning absolutely lighting up Ronald Darby.
What a miserable season. Hopefully Dallas pound them into the dirt and this team can get a top tier WR talent to help next year

The East fire gets deeper... I wonder if the Eagles, Giants and Skins finish with an even record at this point?
PS. Whats a Arcega-Whiteside???

Greg Ward are 2 names I have seen before... not together, but I recognize them as names.
2yrs in a row and the Eagles are held together with rubberbands, sticky tape and that old faithful bungie cord that has half the elastic visible.

Greg Ward dropped the game tying touch down, officially an eagles WR now

I got no interest in getting bombed out by a 12 win wildcard team and jumping down 15 spots for the pleasure

Re: NFL Thread
TBH, I look at our squad and see a team that should be picking bottom half. To say we have underperformed is an understatement.
Re: NFL Thread
That Cowboys team is good. It's got a great line, really good RB, solid weapons. A QB that has shown enough that for even me to say he's a franchise guy who you can win with.
D-Law, LVE and Smith and Jones in the back end...
That's a 10 win core.
They havent been decimated by injuries and this is where they're at? Miserable.
It's all ugly in the NFC E. We should all be ashamed.

Not loving LVEs neck injury. That's a worry
Re: NFL Thread
He fell in the draft due to health concerns around his neck... this is probably going to be one of those career long things where he misses games regularly when it flares up

So we have 3 stud LBs, all with dodgy injury issues.
Lee HIAs.
LVE neck.
Smith knee.

Looks like the 10 days off has done the Cowboys a world of good. 28-7 at the half vs Rams in Big D.

Re: NFL Thread
9ers lose to Falcons! WOOOW! Matty Ice with 1 sec on the clock, finds Julio for the TD - contentious review BTW. I think the TD call is right.
Time to sack Kitchens. Browns lose to Cards.
Jagz jag a W vs Raiders.
Vikings takin' care of business vs Big D Rivers and his boys.
Seattle hold off the fast finishing Panthers.
Bengals held the lead at one stage, but Pats got into gear and that was that.
Tampa beat up on the Lions.
Packers get it done vs Bears.
Chiefs enjoyed the snow against the Bronx.
THE GGGG-Men get a W vs Phins. HAHAHAHA. High scoring tyre fire. Eli threw 3 'Eli style' picks too.
Texans just hold on vs Tannehills Titoons. Was the FTA game this morning. Good one to watch actually.
And of course, Piggy and I are happy this week, with Eagles getting the last drive win 2 wks in a row vs Div opponents, and the Cowboys road grading the Rams. Zeke had 103 yards and 2 TDs at the half. Pollard blew them away in the 2nd to pile up 131 yards and a 44yd TD.

play off game next week
Not very confident at all... Wentz got hot again in the 4th and took the game again, but that aint gonna cut it next week. We need to be playing from in front and i dont think this team has the play makers to do it, nor the corners to cover the cowboys

Re: NFL Thread
The eagles had exactly 1 WR who caught a pass today, and it was the guy who's been on the PS most of the year.
I just dont see how the defence is going to cover Cooper whilst committing to stop Zeke, and then making enough plays on offence to keep up.
But we'll see... if the Eagles can get their noses in front by a score and run the ball effectively. Maybe they can carve out a win. Any given sunday i suppose.
