Re: NFL Thread
Yes, was cut, but I think Carroll wanted some SB winning experience as a back up and to assist at training. Seahawks are weirdly balanced, keep trying to run, but have $$$ tired up in Wilson, so lack experience elsewhere. Can't understand what Carroll is trying to do sometimes.summitone77 wrote:He was with the Raiders wasn’t he?

John Clarke: Old hat? Gina, in the scientific world when they see that something is happening again and again and again, repeatedly, they don’t call it old hat. They call it a pattern.

Re: NFL Thread
Correct, was SB winning TE for the Seahawks. Most of the Seattle based fans seem pretty happy with this move.

I think he expected to beat Waller to the spot with the Raiders.

Sounds like the Melvin Gordon hold out is over.

He is better with him. Gordon allows him to play the scat back role, rather than be the #1 back. Ekeler cant run downhill, Gordon can.
Re: NFL Thread
Disappointing that today's game isn't on 7. Just from the scores it looks like a decent game.

Re: NFL Thread
Crazy week in the NFL...
**** was going on in LA?!?!? 95pts?!?!? And its not the Rams winning?!?!? Buccs 55 to Rams 40. WOOOOOOOOW!
Browns put 40 on the Ravens D (25).
Giants make the Skins the 2nd worst team in football.
Chiefs had to pull it out at the end to beat the Lions, BUT... a billion fumbles in the 3rd quarter - weird quarter of football.
Cowboys play like the Phins... fish bait

Was a crazy day today.
I am not sure about the Browns. Amazing receivers yet they don’t know how to use them! Luckily they have Chubb
I think Baker is a bit overrated.

Nah, they just have to temper that gunslinger a little bit. He looks legit to me.summitone77 wrote: ↑September 30, 2019, 2:03 pm Was a crazy day today.

Cant believe they cant get OBJ involved though.
Re: NFL Thread
Thought that was a weak slate of compelling games
the Saints Dallas game was not what i expected but was compelling, Buffalo put up a pretty solid fight and other than that... just blah!
The Falcons, Vikings and Rams laid HUGE eggs.

The vikings struggled to get going against that Bears defence.

Re: NFL Thread
Yeah, look that Bears D is **** legit, and Mack is a **** terror off the edge... but if all you do as a play caller is run into the teeth of that **** thing on first and second down, and then ask Kirk to throw on 3rd and long.... i mean you're not really giving yourself a fair chance.
You can got at that Bears d with zone beaters off play action... given Dalvin Cook is tearing the league up, that should have the focal point of the offensive game plan... throwing early with play action.

Cowboys made the same mistake. Zekes numbers were shiite coz they were predictable in the dome.PigRickman wrote: ↑September 30, 2019, 8:25 pm Yeah, look that Bears D is **** legit, and Mack is a **** terror off the edge... but if all you do as a play caller is run into the teeth of that **** thing on first and second down, and then ask Kirk to throw on 3rd and long.... i mean you're not really giving yourself a fair chance.

On 1st down they ran, coz it's harder to screw up with timing and play calls. 1st game this yr they have been predictable. Worse still, our D showed up, finally
Re: NFL Thread
Yeah that was not the same Kellen Moore called game that was in the first 3 weeks
That looked much more like the 2018 Linehan/Garrett offence. And it was predictably bad.

All respect to Patty Mahomes but Rusty Wilson's deep ball is the prettiest deep ball in the league... just puts it right in the bucket.

That throw and catch for Locketts TD was insane.
Re: NFL Thread
I love that on twitter everyone was losing their **** but it was completely split down the middle about people going on about the throw and catch
Just unbelievable stuff from both

Re: NFL Thread
You know it's a grim **** period in my life when i cant even find joy in the Eagles putting on a 10 sack beat down followed by Cowboys losing in their building to the packers minus Adams
I just watched it with a blank, vacant stare.
