A win is a win, even by a narrow margin. Good for confidence. I hope they can build on it as the season continues.

It would have been a total disaster if they'd lost that.

But like you said Red...they won..and we'll take that every day of the week.

How about those first two overs from AJ Tye! Averaged 3.2 runs a ball 🤮

I can see why Finch was looking to throw the ball to a bowler who had bowled out his overs over AJ.

Despite dropping a couple of catches Zampa was effective. I’m surprised with his confidence up they did not try giving Maxwell an over. In the wet conditions slow bowling was working.

I'm not sure what the issue is with Maxwell. First a reluctance to select him and then to use some of his on field skills when he is selected. Player tensions happen but usually they are sorted quickly. If he stays healthy and in form he would be a walk up start for me in the World Cup.

I think we're going to need a summer of Usi triple hundreds.

He's clearly the best batsman amoung that line up.

Pile them on Usi.

SMarsh failed in Dubai but scored a stack of runs since coming home. I can live with his selection. MMarsh a different story. He’s had 2 or 3 decent tests in his 30 appearances. Time to move on. With Starc, Hazelwood and Cummins you don’t need a 4th quick so his bowling is irrelevant. Maxwell is 10 times the batsman MMarsh is and at least provides some relief for Lyon on 4th and 5th days.

I just don't know why Siddle is even in the squad. Are they short a net bowler? Does he not drop the drinks? Does Justin Langer want someone closer to his age to talk to? From a Cricket point of view, I just don't get it. Seems to be a great bloke but we can't seriously be considering using him in our Test line up. Bring in the younger blokes.

Yep. He did his time. Was never a world beating player either. One of those players that got far more out of themselves than his ability

I'm glad Marcus Harris is selected. The little leftie is in good form and deserves his opportunity. He should form a good partnership with Finch. His job is to see off the new ball and while he doesn't have the explosive power of Finch he will work the ball around the field and rotate the strike. Left and right handed opener combinations can be a nightmare for opposition opening bowlers provided they rotate the strike.

Jake Lehman is in much better form than Handscomb or Head. Hopefully his surname is not holding him back in the selectors eyes.
Another mid-20s something age batsman who has plenty of ability, but is still awaiting his chance.

Im confident little Lehmann is on the radar. They will want to see another pile of runs first I think.

Coulter-Nile is chucking pies at Rohit and Dharwan.

Too straight and helped over the fence..

IND 0/40 after 4 overs.

Coulter-Nile 2 overs for 29
