Warner excuses himself from the grade game he’s playing today after taking offence to a sledge from the opposition, his team mates talked him into returning to the crease with the permission of the opposing captain.

Re: The Cricket Thread
People are carrying on on social media about this, calling him names etc, but I don't get it. Isn't this a sign of maturity? He found himself in a situation where he could have responded aggressively, but instead chose to remove himself from the situation and return later.
Starting to feel like Warner will never win with some people.

Im with you TW.
Of course people are going to have go at him. He did something disgraceful.
"Taking your bat and ball and going home" after a sledge isnt being a bigger person, its being a spoilt child.
Its simple, you stand there, take your medicine, then let your bat do the talking. The sledging will stop if you put up a score.

What a total load of ****. A sign of maturity would be toughing it out and not walking off in a huff. Warner has always been an A grade sook. He's happy to dish it out in truckloads but always struggles when he cops it back.

Banned Australian cricket star David Warner reportedly left his car in park in the middle of a six lane highway in Sydney’s west, after he merged lanes without indicating, a mistake that resulted in a fellow motorist ridiculing him with some light-hearted road rage.

Behendorff doing the business vs the Saffas for the PMs XI. 2 in the 1st over. Then got Faf later on. He has 3/27 from 5 overs.
Re: The Cricket Thread
I hope the ACB agrees with Allan Border and does not reduce the suspensions on the Cheating 3.
They had a premeditated plan to cheat and then carried it out. They didn't ring the OZ Cricket Board or CEO to gain acceptance of the cheat plan. All this talk from the Players Association is so much waffle. The players deliberately cheated and they are getting what they deserve.
The report came down to say that Cricket had a 'win at all costs' culture and this was the problem. Well the Australian Team has been losing and so some want to bring back the cheating 3 to improve our chances. If reducing suspensions for those who admit they are cheats in the hope of winning is not a 'win at all costs culture' then I don't know what is. Serve the full suspensions and prove there is more to the game than just winning. Demonstrate that cheating to win is unacceptable.

They should let Steve Smith back now. This whole thing has been a massive overreaction.

I’m all for leaving them out of the Australian team for the full term. I still don’t understand why they are banned from domestic competition.

Re: The Cricket Thread
I'm actually leaning the other way on these 3 blokes and I can't believe they're allowed to play cricket at any level.
The ACB stood them done from Tests, ODIs, and T20s (internationals)
The ICC should have came in over the top and squashed them completely from all forms.
I don't know what Bancrofts been doing this past 8 months but the other 2 are filling their pockets in T20 slap&stickle.
It's my opinion.
We've seen in our game players are double dipped with punishment all the time.
I feel very strongly about this.
As for on field..we need SSmith back as soon as possible.
But he's serving a well earned suspension and In my opinion should serve the whole lot.
Cheers guys.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Does anyone on here know much about Josh Philippe? He was MOTM in the PMs XI game. Made 50 odd, and he kept (but that might just mean he is a short form keeper). Is he a 'dark horse' keeper batsmen option?

The ground looks pretty empty.
According to Bruce Stadium crowd counter it’s just over 2/3rds full.
