Labu another ton.
I really hope he isn't a Handscomb flash on the pan, but rather a Hussey type that just gets better
I don't recall handscomb EVER being this consistent (or khawaja for that matter). Labu is booked in at no 3 for quite some time imo.
Handscombe had some big scores early and a number of red inks that boosted his average. It then steadily declined
Labuschagne's career path is a totally different trajectory. He had a sporadic start and has now established himself. It's more like Steve Smith but a more rapid rise.

I can only hope we play this well when the Indians come out next year. Will be nice to actually have a more reliable batting line up compared to last season.

Handy avged 99-100 for the 1st yr of his career. Then it started to dip.

I repeat. I don't recall him EVER being this consistent.
And I actually didn't mind Handscomb - thought he copped it unfairly from some quarters. But Labu has been another level.
Handscomb has such a vulnerable technique in that he starts so far back he cannot go further back without treading on his stumps. It leaves him stuck with the short ball or swing/seam ball in that he struggles to get into position and weight/balance transfer. It didn't take bowlers long to work him out. Unusual technique works for Smith but Handscomb so far back, nup.
Labu plays so straight and is nimble in moving into position. A classical technique which has served him well.

Why do we always send out our tail to score no runs instead of declaring

The Kiwis have proven all series so far they don't have 5 days in them. So batting longer ain't going to hurt the cause really. And..it's damn hot as well and why not leave our sheep shagging mates in the sun for as long as possible.
Do you understand the test cricket bro ? I'll say no!!!!
You're nothing but negative..

Warner tons up, followed by Labu and another half ton.
Aussies with over 400 lead now.
I suspect the declaration is coming, but I think this turning into a slog fest 1st - and thats with this pair going at 6 and over in the last 10 overs.
