Interesting stat.

AUS have not posted a 300+ score in the last 12 innings.

I think we may achieve that today..maybe..we'll see..I hope anyway

I heard that this morning too.

Should Paine fail to win this Test, he will be the 1st Aussie Test captain to not win a game 5 games on the trot (could be 1st 5 games in charge?)

Well this is one of the most ordinary Australian batting line-ups in a long time so it stands to reason.

Is it just me or are they bowling well to Cummins and tossing pies to Paine?

Not sure we even have a good score. Hard to get a read on the pitch. Lyon should open the batting

We got 326.
They are 2/14*.

Id say we are well on top.

My assertion was that it's still not clear whether we have a good total that's going to put us in good stead in this match. Not whether we're on top at a particular point in time. The fact we were well on top after about 10 overs with two world-class batsman at the crease doesn't derogate from that.

I still like our position. Kohli might be 40, but he is playing and missing at every 2nd delivery.

I still think we are in front. Our bowling has been top class.

I tell u, Kohli might be an exceptional player, BUT... man he has had some luck in this inning. He has played and missed sooooo many today. He also let half a dozen go, that he probably shouldn't have, only to see them beat the stumps by a coat of paint.

This is what I mean about the pitch being hard to read. Aussies bowled well, quality batting though. Need some quick wickets tomorrow and need our batsmen to finally stand up which I don't expect will happen

Gary was just asked if he’d rather see the Raiders win the premiership in 2019 or get a Test ton, 100% ton he said, Raiders aren’t winning it in 2019

Kohli was out caught in slip by Handscome diving forward and just getting his fingers under it, soft decision was out, was reviewed by the umps and they stuck with the on field decision. During the lunch show Skull is asked if it was out, his reply ‘only Bob Marley could find grass in that shot’

Australia about to start second innings with a 43 run lead, Harris single from the first ball to deny Sharma his hat trick

I still believe we bowled better than that 283 suggests, but we are 43 runs to the good.

That night session yesterday to Kohli and Rahane was poor, but otherwise we beat the bat a hell of a lot.

Kohli esp could have been out anywhere between 0-65, cruised though the arvo session with Rahane doing the heavy lifting, then had a few wobbles in the 80s before screaming to 100 and beyond. The 2nd new ball brought back the play and miss before finally nicking 1.

We cleaned up the tail pretty quickly, which was important, esp with none of the last 4 avging more than 11.

Agree Matt, and kudos to the blokes for their first innings bat, the pitch has been pretty placid since day 1

Kohli’s a prick of a man, and his lovely lovely interview with Gilly was cringe worthy.
