Back from Fulham/Derby game at Craven Cottage. 2-2 result but a very entertaining game in foggy and cold downtown London.

I'd say standard behaviour from a soccer crowd. I'd feel in danger at a soccer crowd like that.

There are NRL fan bases that are no different from that

And many people would feel in danger in an NRL crowd if everything was reported on in the same way. You should know better than to base an opinion on what you've been fed by the media.

The Bulldogs vs Souths Anzac Day game was reported differently. As in, that was the only thing about the NRL anyone was talking about but I only found out about this because GE shared it

I've been to plenty of games where I've seen arrests and not read about it the next day. Same with the cricket.

I just watched the vision. It's scary what happens at a soccer match.

I don't want to go to a game. Not only is the game a poor one, the standard in Australia is even poorer, and the atmosphere in the crowd I'd want nothing to do with. People seemed to have missed this part as well... What sort of sport allows this?

Ok so your opinion is based on what you've read in the media, therefore there's no point in us even having this conversation.

And please don't try to act as if the NRL crowds are any less homophobic. They may not have banners (this is the first of its kind in the A-League) but you hear things at NRL games that are at best on par with any other sport in the world in that department.

The news is fake. The violence is real, but the news is fake.

Last year I went to an A League match. Before the media showed up it was a happy place. They had flowering fields and rainbow skies and the urinals flowed chocolate and the children danced and laughed and played with gumdrop smiles

Looks like it's a weekly occurrence - this time a female police officer assaulted. Imagine the media frenzy if this was football??
