I'm actually really enjoying this second half of the season. Very strong episodes.

Rick/Michonne also feels weird to me, yet I thought their episode was great.
The Phantom wrote:What's with Tara, anyway? It's a zombie apocalypse, yet she's getting fatter and fatter each year?
The actress just had a baby in real life.

I love the Rick/Michonne chemistry, feels natural to me and good to see Rick relaxed a little bit.

Yeah I'm enjoying this season, you can feel it's building to a crescendo. Ricks been getting confident/cocky in recent times, so this season has been about finding someone stronger than Rick, breaking Rick down, and watching him rebuild.

And yeah Alana Masterson (Tara) had a baby in between seasons, hence her leaving last season to do a big scavenging run. I'm pretty sure pregnancy entitles the character to a little bit lee way.
Fun Fact 1: Her 2 brothers played Hyde in that 70s show and Francis in Malcolm in the Middle.
Fun Fact 2: Her dad is former Roosters player Joe Reaiche

Rick and Michonne, it's been building since they were in the Prison. I think it was good. I remembered recently that in Ep 1 Rick was telling Shane that there were problems with him and Lori and he wanted out. I think you can see in the carnival Ep that Rick is a better person with Michonne.

I would like to see an Origin episode for Negan. I want to see what he was doing before the apocalypse.

Well in the comics Negan pre apocalypse was a teacher and ping pong coach.

Dwight still has Daryls crossbow but Daryl got another one at the Kingdom. Will be Dwight and further lead in for war but I won't go into spoilers.

Yeah I was hoping Michonne would snipe him from the rooftop.

Next season should be a bit more action packed for this who were bored with this season.

They are milking it like they are doing in better call Saul. Story lines that should run over a series are being stretched out over two.

So. Anyone watching season 8?

Im enjoying it so far. Plenty of action, a return character from season one.

Starting to drag on though.
The spiral of silence refers to the idea that when people fail to speak, the price of speaking rises. As the price to speak rises, still fewer speak out, which further causes the price to rise, so that fewer people yet will speak out, until a whole culture or nation is silenced. This is what happened in Germany.

If you do not speak, you are not being neutral, but are contributing to the success of the thing you refuse to name and condemn.

Son, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by Mods. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Nickman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Lucy, and you curse GE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that GE’s moderation, while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, keeps threads on track and under the appropriately sized, highlighted green headings.
You want moderation because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that forum -- you need me on that forum. We use words like "stay on topic," "use the appropriate forum," "please delete." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very moderation that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you get a green handle and edit a post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think about moderation.

Unpopular opinion, but the show has gone downhill since the introduction of Negan IMO. Season 7 became all about him, and because he's "the biggest badass ever", they're dragging out his downfall way too long.

Im still enjoying it, as for Negan if it follows the comics he’ll still be around for quite a while to come.

I dunno. I’m enjoying this season. The in fighting in Ricks camp has added a new dimension. I thought it was just going to be Rick vs Negan. Plus I feel for Ezekiel and the Kingdom. I like them.

As much as the Special Effects guys would love the budget savings, gutted when Shiva went down
